February isn't just about Valentine's Day - it's also Pet Dental Awareness Month!
Lately, I have been frequently asked about 'anaesthesia-free dentals,' often offered by local doggy services.
Unfortunately, this is a big no from me. I have witnessed things going terribly wrong.
While there might be some cosmetic effect, there is no health benefit, so it's not worth putting your animal at risk.
Please find below a link to our regulatory body's statement, signed by EVERY recognized Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry practicing in the UK.

If you are concerned about general anesthesia or cost, please speak to a vet. It's also advisable that if cost is a concern, seek alternative quotes. Not every place is corporately owned with enormous overheads and shareholders who need to be paid out of your veterinary bill.
If you would like to discuss your pet needs and seek alternative quote, don't hesitate to contact me directly.
