I came up with this idea 💡 whilst out walking after hearing of a recent incident where a Border terrier saw a cat and pulled the retractable lead out of the owners hand, she bolted and was missing for 2hrs & was luckily found with the retractable lead wrapped around a wheelie bin. Other numerous incidents where the retractable lead has been dropped scaring the dog who bolts with a noisy plastic retractable lead "chasing" them - They can be very dangerous ! Of course retractable leads have their haters BUT they are a fabulous tool used correctly and allow many dogs to have freedom who otherwise can't be let off a lead. I use one myself ONLY when we reach the safety of wide open areas, until we do my dog is walked on a short traditional lead. The "link" I've designed is long enough for you to swap the handle into either hand, I've found the ones available are too short & restrict you to using the one hand. I've also tried it attachéd to my dog walking bag ( which carries the R lead until I use it), it could also be attached to your belt. I'm making a few this week in various colours and will put them on the page 😃 They are priced at £9.50.

Coming 🔜 Who’s fed up with cold bottoms & can never find somewhere dry & comfy to sit when out hiking 🥾 or damp chairs at outdoor at dog shows etc 🙄? I’ve made myself a roll out waterproof backed sit mat , that’ll fit neatly in my rucksack 🙌 and it has a Velcro strap to keep it nicely rolled Good idea or no ? 🤔 These can be personalised on the strap & fleece mat top , they’d make fab gifts 🎁
