This is a true story posted in our local FB group this evening. Dog thieves don’t care whether you’re Vinnie Jones or Mrs Pepperpot; if they want your dog they’ll take their chances.

STOLEN DOG: ROMAN WAS SEEN BEING DRAGGED AWAY. Last seen being dragged by rope lead out of the Fords Field onto McDonald’s car park on the Shires, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, on 29th June 2024.

The thief is a white man, possibly in his 30’s, 6 feet tall, sturdy build, with tattoos down both his arms. Brown hair. Clean looking. He was wearing dark coloured trackies and lighter top. The thief said his name is ‘Paul’ whilst chatting before he grabbed the dog lead.

There was a recent sighting on 1st July 11.30ish of the same man with Roman being walked down by Queensway Court flats, across pedestrian crossing to Fords field /MacDonald’s area.

Police are also involved and currently looking for ROMAN and any information can also be communicated to them on 101 quoting number 23/27231/24 . Or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800555111

ROMAN is a Male Rottweiler Black And Tan (Age: Adult), microchipped.

Family are devastated and need your help to find ROMAN, a beautiful gentle who was stolen 29 June 2024. ROMAN notability has a large head and a full tail.

❗️Urgent: mum needing to be reunited with her newborn pups ❗️

NOVA HAS BEEN FOUND ALIVE AND WELL! She is settling down again today and will go to the vet tomorrow. No further news at the moment, we will update you when we get more information. Thank you all for your help 🐾❤️🐾 7th July 2024.

Update from team (lost dog capture, drone sar, doglost and CEAsAR) were setting up cameras and a food station and the sausages on the bbq were just making us all realise we had missed lunch! Nova walked passed us and up to her mum ###

NOVA DISAPPEARED TWO HOURS AFTER HAVING PUPS! She just went out for a wee 💔

Disappeared from WESTON LAWNS FARM, Bedworth, Warwickshire, on 4th July 2024 at 8am.

REWARD for information regarding the whereabouts or information that will lead us to Nova or bring Nova home.

After having a great delivery of her first litter she went missing yesterday around 8am. She had a puppy at 6am and by 8am there was no sign of anything happening. She went out for a brief wee and has not been back. She NEVER runs off and sticks to my side like glue.

We’ve had sniffer dogs and thermal cameras out yesterday. Hoping to get a drone out today. We do have cctv on the place -

If anyone has taken her please bring her back. She has had pups that need her. Please, even if you drop her at the end of my drive anonymously. There’s no cameras there and she can find her way back too me from there. Please I just need her back.

Please share and bring my baby home 😭😭 This dog is my whole world 💔

If you’re taking your dog to the polling station today, please DON’T leave it tied up outside. Take it inside or leave it at home.

Unattended dogs are an easy target for dog thieves.

The same applies to shops, libraries and…well, anywhere really.

You’ve probably seen us mention Waffle before. His story was one of the motivators behind HOWL.

Please read this post from his page. Think about anyone you know who has a labradoodle and question whether it could be Waffle. And please share if you can.

May we ask you to do a big share over all social media platforms this weekend and ask everyone Did they get a dog like WAFFLE for Xmas IN 2019 or shortly after .

The Microchip details are uptodate and being checked regularly so if you have purchased/been given/adopted a dog like WAFFLE since 23/12/19 and your dog has never been scanned nor you registered the chip may we please ask you to get scanned and if Waffle let him go home to his heartbroken owner and at least get in touch to let us know he is okay rather than the not knowing everyday . Please don't be afraid to get in touch .

There is a Finders Fee for the safe return of Waffle payable only once he is home . A pickup can be arranged .

Waffle is one of the dogs who inspired us to create HOWL. He was stolen at knifepoint as his mum took him out for his morning walk on 23 December 2019. He was 6 months old, and today marks his 5th birthday.

Sending best wishes to Waffle’s family. They haven’t seen him grow into an adult dog and have no idea where he is now.

Sara here. You may have heard my dad or me mention alternative uses for our HOWL app. You don’t always need to have your dog with you in order to use HOWL.

We’re Midlands-based, but this weekend I was in Dublin and decided to give HOWL an Irish road test. So I set it going whilst heading to meet a friend on Saturday afternoon.

Short answer: it works perfectly.

HOWL is available worldwide (for FREE) and we know it works as we’ve tested it with others who were outside the UK. But it’s still a relief to test it for yourself.

I could show you the what3words feed but it wouldn’t be as easy to understand as the map view. So here you go: an overview of my taxi ride from one side of Dublin to the other (plus a bit while I was in the pub as I forgot to end my ‘walk’ until a couple of pints in 🙄).

We’re concerned about all aspects of dog (and other animals) welfare, and laboratory testing is firmly in our sights.

Like you, we thought vivisection was no longer legal in the UK. It turns out, however, that it was cosmetics testing that was banned, and indeed far worse treatments take place every year in the UK on beagles, macaques, rabbits, and other animals.

We support Camp Beagle who have been camped outside MBR Acres in Huntingdon for almost 3 years. MBR Acres breeds beagles for toxicity testing (this is how manufacturers find out what happens if you swallow weedkiller, or what is a lethal dose of a medicine) and is a place representing despair, pain, and torture. We visited Camp Beagle a couple of years ago, and met one of the warmest groups of humans we’d ever encountered. As the warriors at Camp say: We’re not leaving without the puppies.

How can you help? Well, one way is to make better choices. Check out the Cruelty Cutter app, and you’ll be able to choose to support cruelty-free brands. Hitting the pockets of the baddies is one of the few ways to give them pause (or paws) for thought.

Bailey has now been found safe after the car she was in was stolen from outside a shop yesterday afternoon.

Just under 24 hours of an ordeal. We hope she recovers from her trauma quickly.

Bailey is still missing. She was in a silver BMW that was stolen from High Street, Henley-in-Arden yesterday afternoon, 23 April.

She is a Boston Terrier with only one eye, and is likely to be abandoned somewhere (the thief wanted the car, not the dog) or may have been sold on.

Please notify the police immediately if you spot the car or Bailey.

Midlands friends - please look out for Bailey - she’s distinctive as she only has one eye.

She was in a vehicle when it was stolen this afternoon from Henley-in-Arden (B95) High Street. It was an opportunist theft, so it’s likely that she’s been abandoned somewhere.

The vehicle she was in was a silver BMW cabriolet (see pics).

Please, please, if you have any information on where she might be, get in touch.
