Did you know that fruit can also be a refreshing treat for your dog on these warmer days? ☀️
Dogs can enjoy some fruits, but others are highly toxic to our furry friends, including grapes and raisins. The seeds and pits in some fruit contain a small amount of cyanide, which can harm your pet - so it's essential to take the following measures. It's also important to thoroughly rinse your fruit before feeding it to your dog.
🍉Watermelon - remove rind and seeds
💙Blueberries - fine as is
🍍Pineapple - remove the skin
🍑Peach - Remove the stone/pit
🍓Strawberries - very sugary, so feed in small amounts
🐾 Be careful and always check with your vet if your pet has any pre-existing conditions that might make fruit an unsuitable food for them.
