Pawsome Paddles is located on a pet friendly farm set in the tranquil Hertfordshire countryside, conveniently located just outside the market town of Hertford. Our hydrotherapists, Kim and Kathryn, are dedicated to delivering treatment to the highest standard and therefore achieve the best quality of life for each and every dog. We are here to ensure your dog gets the most out of their hydrotherapy experience. It was such a lovely day yesterday celebrating the marriage of Kathryn to her husband Lee. I feel for a couple of people who spend all day in wetsuits that we scrubbed up alright. Needless to say Kathryn looked beautiful.

WHY DID YOU START HYDRO? She had an operation when she was about 1 year old, due to elbow dysplasia

HOW HAS HYDRO HELPED? Keeps her muscles balanced and strong and prevents her joints getting too stiff, particularly in the winter.

No1. TIP FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING HYDRO: take some favourite treats for your pup, and stand back when they get out unless you want to get soaked :)

Ana is 10yr old rescue Sprollie. She started hydrotherapy following an operation to remove the head and neck of femur on one leg after being hit by a car. She also has spondylitis in her back. Her physiotherapist referred her to Kim & Kathryn for rehab and build up strength in her bad leg.
As she is a double coated dog I would recommend a coat for after sessions to help keep them warm and mop up extra water.

Attended puppy classes, and continued as have luxating patella’s in both legs.

Helps with his muscle strength and avoiding surgery.

Treats any flavour will do, and a towel robe to wear in the way home .

WHY DID YOU START HYDRO? To provide cross training for his sports (hoopers and canicross) and to support long term muscle health

HOW HAS HYDRO HELPED? It will allow him to work his body in a way that he does not normally which will help with strength and stability. Also he loves it!!!

No1. TIP FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING HYDRO: Start early. Support your dog's muscular health from a young age, especially it they do sports or have any orthopedic issues.

Noodles came in for her first puppy session today and took to the water so well.

Lucy had her first session today to treat her luxating patella. She was a little anxious at first but with encouragement from mum and some treats she did really well.

Brodie loves his sessions and is a fantastic swimmer for a bulldog!

Bailey came in for a puppy swim earlier. Only a couple more months and he’ll turn one and start our fitness sessions.
