Yesterday I had 2 fantastic lessons with Jezz Palmer on 4 year old Olive owned by Georgie Day and 6 year old Pumba owned by Laura Elizabeth.
I am so pleased with how they are progressing in their training!
It’s a pleasure to ride such quality horses and it’s incredibly satisfying that I have started them both in their education.

Today WfD Champagne Supernova (Pumba) qualified for the British Dressage 6 year old pony championships with a fantastic score of 86.8%.
I’m so incredibly proud of this pony and it has been a pleasure to be a part of his journey, from backing him as a three year old to now.
This will be Pumba’s 3rd consecutive year of qualifying for the championships which is a lovely achievement.
Thank you to Pumba’s owner, Laura Elizabeth for continuing to let me train and compete him and to Elaine Coleridge Smith for breeding such a talented pony!
It’s been a while since I competed, but I had a successful day doing the Two Elementary’s with Laura Elizabeth’s WfD Champagne Supernova at Bury farm today. 1st in our section with two respectable scores.

He has been an absolute pleasure to back with this being his second week off the lunge. We also ventured down onto the gallops which he took completely in his stride!
He has the attitude we all dream for!

A huge well done to my client Laura Elizabeth and Pumba today, completing their regional qualification at prelim with a great score of 70%. They also did their first Novice together achieving a very respectable 66.87% and won both classes!!

Today Pumba and I had a fun day with poles and he even had his first jump 🤩.
He just takes everything you throw at him in his stride (literally 😂) and always tries his very best 🥰.

7 year old WfD Diangelo (Mavis) had a good day today, scoring 66.8% and 67.02% in her medium tests gaining a 1st and 2nd at Windmill Farm Dressage & Livery.
Mavis is owned and bred by Elaine Coleridge Smith. She is currently for sale and can be viewed at Windmll Farm.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks riding lovely ponies, teaching and cake making. Finishing off with a trip to Cherwell Competition Centre today to support and watch Laura MacDougall win her section in both tests 🥇🥇

I had a lovely morning warming up and supporting Laura MacDougall and Pumba in their first competition together this summer.
They have started their winter qualification off with 2 great scores of 67.70% and 69.82 and two red rosettes. An exciting season ahead for these two ☺️ X

Today Laura MacDougall trusted me with her own WfD Champagne Supernova (Pumba) to contend in the 5 year old Young Pony Championship at Hartpury.
We finished fifth on a score of 75.8% in a class of really quality ponies.
We had a bit of tension creep into the walk and a blip going into our first canter which sadly affected our score. However he created some beautiful work gaining 8.5 for his trot work and we are super proud of his behaviour throughout the weekend.
He is such an exciting young pony and I’m very lucky to be supporting Laura on her journey with him.

Today I went out out… hacking! It’s been a few years since I have braved the roads and ridden through woodland etc, so it was a very pleasant change and I thoroughly enjoyed myself ☺️.
It was so lovely to receive these today 🥰

I had a super day gaining qualifications for the young pony finals with 4 year old WfD Coupe D’ Amour (Archie). Bred and owned by Elaine Coleridge Smith at Windmill Farm Dressage & Livery.
I also gained qualification with 5 year old WfD Champagne Supernova (Pumba). Also bred by Elaine and now owned by Laura MacDougall.
Both ponies qualified with over 78%.
I’m so proud of both of them and its so lovely to have backed them both and still be trusted to be part if their journey.

After 15 lovely years of working at Windmill Farm Dressage & Livery it is time for me to spread my wings.
After having success in producing homebred ponies to compete at young pony classes and riding up through the levels, competing at regional and national championships along the way, I am offering my services as a freelance rider.
I have had the opportunity at riding up to PSG level during my time at Windmill farm and have gained experience with many horses and ponies along the way. I am highly skilled at working with young horses and ponies from the ground and being a perfectionist I have very high standards.
I am a small lightweight adult that has a sympathetic way with the horses and ponies with lots of experience under my belt.
No pony too cheeky or hairy!
