The difference between permanent slots and ad-hoc slots 🎰

Securing a permanent slot means that you have secured the same days/times each week. This can be once a week or every day of the week, totally up to you! Providing your pooch settles into the group, this means that no new clients will be taken on for those slots and they are reserved just for you. There is also some flexibility where possible for if you ever needed to drop or swap a day 💛

An ad-hoc slot means that it’s not reserved (so not guaranteed) but if there is availability, then you can slot your pooch in and they can come out with the group on the chosen day. This is especially great if you are going to be out for the day, you have a busy schedule or you just want your doggie to have some fun and see their friends 💚

I try my best to be as flexible as possible and will always help out whenever I can 🫶

When I first started walking Chester his recall was pretty poor 🙈😂 He wasn’t so bad in big open fields because there wasn’t as many distractions, but as soon as I brought him into the woods he would ignore me completely and do his own thing 🤦🏻‍♀️

I had no other choice but to keep him on a long line, which was quite stressful as he would pull, get tangled around trees, bushes and the other dogs - it was painful! 😅

I really wanted to work on it so that he could be free to do what he loves, so I pulled out my dog whistle and straight away he recalled so much better to that than he ever had with just my voice.

Over the past few months we have practiced and practiced and practiced some more and I can confidently say that his recall is near enough perfect! Theres some situations that we haven’t been in yet so I can’t say it’s 100% but he’s soooooo much better and I’m super proud of him 🧡

He now gets to enjoy his walks off-lead and is free to run about and sniff whatever his heart desires and whenever I need him back with me I trust that’s exactly what he’s going to do 🫶

Apart from a few people letting their dogs approach an on-lead dog who was clearly off of the walkway and trying to be avoided, we had a lovely walk! 😒😅😂

Not a post I would usually make.

Came across this company and the enclosed woodland they have for hire and thought it would be a great location to run an adventure walk with client dogs.

On the website I noticed it was a maximum of 5 dogs and if you were looking to have more then to get in touch.

I contacted them and said I was looking to bring 6 and was told no problem, just call up anytime before your booking and pay £3 per additional dog.

Booked the field for about a month a half’s time. Four days before the booking I called up to pay and was told the maximum is 5 as the neighbours complained and the council put restrictions in place. Totally understand, not your fault. Said the location may not be suitable now if I can’t bring all 6 dogs and asked what the procedure is to get a refund. Was told to check the Q&A section on the website.

Later that evening I decided not to go ahead. Checked the website and it said NO REFUNDS. So messaged the lady and asked what I needed to do to initiate a refund. Message was read near enough straight after… ignored, no reply!

Thought I’d give the benefit of the doubt, maybe she’s busy, maybe she’s forgot to message back? Messaged again a few days later asking if a call would be easier, read straight away… ignored, no reply again!

I’m not hard up for the £15 you stole from me but how embarassing that that’s the level of customer service you provide.

And to top it all off, my friend booked one of the fields the week before and when she was lost and called asking for directions you were SO RUDE over the phone.

Point of the message - Fidos Fun sort it out! Stealing peoples money is really not a good look! 👎
