The boys love this time of year where they can help themselves to a few extra snacks while out walking. They are getting so good at picking berries, and they only take the ripe ones, clever dogs!

If you have two dogs in your family, you can still train them together in my 1-2-1 training sessions ๐. But it really helps if you also have two humans to handle them ๐.
Dogs love to use their brains and you can help them with that through a range of activities like training, enrichment games, exercise, toys, sniffing, licking, chewing, new experiences and spending time with you. Do something special today and engage differently with your dog on National Play Day even if itโs for just 5 minutes, your dog will love it.
Struggling for ideas? A little heads up, I provide FREE access to a comprehensive Enrichment Games Library for all of my private training clients.
I will be the first to admit that posting to social media is not my strength ๐. So from today, I promise to be better at sharing pictures of some of the amazing puppies/dogs and owners that I get the privilige to train with during 1-2-1 training sessions ๐พ
Brotherly love ๐. Time to capture your dog/s in a way that makes your heart melt...it's National Dog Photography Day...feel free to share your cutest picture with us! ๐ธ
Whoop whoop, the school summer holidays start this week. If you are doing private dog training with me, you have free access to my Woof Wag Hub with hundreds of activities to keep kids and dogs busy during the summer break. What a bonus!๐
I grew up near a coast with beautiful beaches, and on these hot days I really miss the sea. We can't just take our doggies for a swim as we are now nearly 2 hours from the beach, but instead, I can feel 'jealous' over my brother's beautiful new puppy who gets to have all those wonderful experiences. What a great shot that my nephew has taken of their new addition, isn't he a handsome puppy? ๐
It appears that researchers at the University of Michigan have started a study using AI technology to analyse canine barks to help humans understand what dogs are saying. While you wait for the outcome of this study, did you know that you get unlimited access to my extensive Canine Body Language course when you train privately with me? Just saying ๐ ๐พ.
We had a beautiful day out with our family and our wonderful doggies. They loved the boat canal experience, all the smells and more importantly all the extra cuddles. Definitely something that will be worth repeating on another summer day. ๐พ
It's going to be a hot one today...keep your dog safe, remember to only walk them in the early morning or later in the evenings. For the rest of the day make sure your dog chills out in the shade and that they have access to lots of water. Enjoy the sun ๐
Nearly time to finish work...and the rain has finally stopped so Alfie is patiently waiting for some action! What are you all up to on this beautiful weekend? ๐
Do you have someone in your life that you are extra proud of today? If you are looking for a dog trainer who really gets you and can adapt the training to your requirements, then I am your girl ๐
I felt very honoured to be asked to be a judge at a dog competition taking place this Saturday at Hermitage House Care Home. Unfortunately, I have a full diary that day but instead I have donated 15 copies of my Woof Wag Wishesยฎ activity and memory book to be used as prizes. I hope that the residents and their families will have a fun-filled day with lots of furry dogs taking part as well. ๐ฅฐ
We miss Buster every single day, I can't believe it is nearly six months since he went over the rainbow bridge. It's pet memorial day and I feel it is OK to remember him even more than normal today, and share a few snapshots of our wonder boy. โค๏ธ
What's better than a doggie friend coming round for a visit and you all get to have a yummy rabbit ear to chew on!
Volunteering is useful for the local community, but it is also beneficial for your own wellbeing. There are many ways to contribute to good causes and one of those is to dedicate some of your time. If you are keen to work with dogs and support a charity that help people, you could speak to Kettering Guide Dogs who are always keen to hear from volunteers to join their Guide Dogs Supporter Group in Kettering.
It is Child Safety Week - a favourite topic of mine as it's one of my speciality training areas - I love talking about dogs and children and how you can ensure that your children are safe when interacting with your family dog.
I always encourage children to take part in private training sessions since kids really benefit from understanding dog safety but equally discovering how to create a strong bond with their dog so they can have lots of fun together. To support families even further, all of my private clients get access to my Woof Wag Hub which is packed full of activities developed with children in mind as well. Want to know more, why not reach out a paw today!
If you haven't spotted this online, here is a little nudge for you to fill out this very quick survey ๐พ
๐ฅณ Thank you to to 180,000+ dog owners and lovers who have given us their views in our National Dog Survey!
There's still time to take part - and you don't need to own a dog to fill it in! It takes just a few minutes and is the largest study of dogs and their owners which will help us to understand how we can support them and help give more dogs a better life ๐
Findings from past surveys have enabled us to launch a Behaviour Support Line which has supported 8,000 owners, serve up 1 million dog meals to furry friends in need and discounted training classes for over 500 dogs.

Happy 2nd birthday Alfie boy, you look like you have decided to have a first smoke of the day ๐ (don't worry, it's a bone he has found that we took away immediately)! Can't believe you have been with us for 2 years, what an awesome time we have had together already.
Have you adopted a dog and are now looking for that little bit of extra support to really understand how to help your dog settle? Mondon, it is National Rescue Dog Day; I am based in Kettering and I am here to help you and your new furry friend achieve success together through positive dog training methods.
Look at my cute office pups in their new beds, what a calming view I have while I am writing my weekly doggie reports ๐พ Love that they are mirroring each other, even down to the ear hanging over the edge ๐ฅฐ
Are you coming to the Woof Fest at The Chester House Estate tomorrow? We are definitely heading over there to check things out in the lovely sunshine. You can grab your tickets here: https://chesterhouseestate.merlintickets.co.uk/product/EVENT00365
Felt very honoured this morning, our local flock of starlings came to visit our garden ๐. That is the first time since we moved into our home about a year ago. Normally, the flock flies around one of the side streets. There were even more birds than I was able to capture in the picture. Good time to keep the dogs inside๐พ
What a wonderful sunny day to shout a big 'hello to May'. Are you looking forward to less muddy walks? ๐พ
I just love World Book Day, it brings back great memories of fun days, just look at Kia who was a perfect Oompa Loompa, gosh that is now over 10 years ago!
Did you know that I have penned a few kids' books myself? I have several more in the pipeline, but just need to find the time to finish them...isn't that always the excuse๐. Here is the selection of my published books https://woofwagtraining.co.uk/books
Boop my cute nose virtually, it's my birthday and I'm 13 years old today ๐ฅณ
Has any of you taken the leap today and made a proposal with the help of your furry friend? According to tradition (don't know where it originates from), but every 4th year on leap day it seems that the roles are flipped and anyone can propose on this extra day of the year. Well, I know I wouldn't be able to say no to those gorgeous brown puppy eyes. ๐
Time for a fun challenge! Listening to animal sounds and identifying each one might sound easy but this 'unleash the fun' has a few tricky sounds in the grid. ๐How fast can you identify all of the animals? https://woofwagtraining.co.uk/unleash-the-fun
Happy Valentines to all dog owners out there who love their dog/s to the moon and back. ๐

Our family begins the new year with a heavier heart than usual. We have had to say goodbye to our beloved Buster. He was the most awesome dog we could ever have hoped for, providing 15 years of cuddles. Besides being our family dog, Buster has also been such a big part of my training life; featuring in training videos, being the meet/greet companion for new puppies in training, as well as being our inspiration for the cartoon dog in our Woof Wag Wishes book. Cannot put into words how missed he will be. Here's a little snippet from the week he arrived into our lives. ๐พ
Funny how quickly dogs learn what holds yummy goodies, there's nothing like a bit of positive training. Alfie, our puppy, is still a bit excited about the advent calendar so have to do a few prawn jumps as he is just too excited ๐. If you notice he is also the one telling us it's time to 'open today's date'. Love these Christmas traditions. So today is Christmas Jumper Day but we thought we would share this instead. Have an awesome day!
