So, it’s oh-fish-cial! Many congratulations to Gates Garden Centre and we can’t wait to reopen!🐠

✨Hello Hinckley!✨

We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Dobbies Stapleton, formerly known as Woodlands Garden Centre, near to Hinckley in Leicestershire.

Following a brief refurbishment period, the centre will reopen as Gates Woodlands Hinckley, with the existing team remaining in place and retaining all existing concessions to ensure a seamless and familiar experience for visitors.

This also means that we have some exciting job opportunities available, so there will also be a recruitment drive for new keen, talented team members!

Make sure to keep following along here to keep up to date and get the latest information. We can't wait to share our new location with all of you when we reopen Gates Woodlands Hinckley later this month!

And so it has come to a temporary end, but only for a few weeks before we’re able to reopen.

Thank you so much to all of you lovely folk who have supported us, even right until the end-of-play today!

We look forward to seeing you again as soon as we reopen. Please keep an eye on our social media for news and updates, and remember, Maidenhead Aquatics Atherstone and Maidenhead Aquatics at Leicester are nearby and will be operating as normal.

A reminder to all our customers, this Sunday (19th) will be our last day of trading before our temporary store closure.
Pop in this weekend to grab any essentials that you may need or spoil yourselves with some gorgeous new additions to your aquarium, like these stunning Sunset Dwarf Rainbow fish (Melanotaenia parva) showing their colours and exuberance so early in the morning ❤️
We will be open again soon but of course, if you need anything at all in the meantime, our other local stores Maidenhead Aquatics Atherstone and Maidenhead Aquatics at Leicester are a short drive away and both well worth a visit.

IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE

We wish to inform our customers that Dobbies Garden Centre at Stapleton will close after their last trading day on Sunday 19th January.

Maidenhead Aquatics will remain at the garden centre, however, will also be closed until the new garden centre operator takes over. This could take until mid-February before the site reopens, but please make sure you follow our social media for any updates and news regarding this.

After the 19th, we will be on site daily, caring for the livestock and giving the store some much needed TLC. Whilst we are closed to the public, we will be available to assist you with any advice over the phone, and in cases of emergencies only (the latter will require prior arrangement via a phone call).

In the meantime, for all of your regular aquatic needs until we reopen, please visit our sister stores- Maidenhead Aquatics Atherstone and Maidenhead Aquatics at Leicester

We would like to apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and very much look forward to welcoming you back once we reopen.

Please be advised that we do not support the idea of last-minute purchases of aquariums with fish as surprise gifts on Christmas Day.

Whilst we understand the intention to make the holiday special, it is of paramount importance to prioritise the well-being of the fish. We strongly recommend setting up any aquarium well in advance before introducing livestock. Likewise, it is important not to rush filling the aquarium with the maximum capacity of fish. While small aquariums can make great gifts, we would suggest allowing the recipient to set up the tank at their own pace and then consider adding livestock after Christmas. Perhaps, why not give a gift card for that last minute gift so that the recipient can come into store and choose their fish after the festivities are over?

Feel free to reach out to us for any information you may need to ensure a successful and responsible introduction of fish into the tank. The welfare of the livestock is our utmost concern throughout the year.
