It's a non training week but we have classes today at 12:30 and 2 o'clock to makeup from the ones cancelled due to the storm last Friday. For anyone who has classes to make up or to do as an extra.

All classes are cancelled today and tomorrows are under review depending on if any more damage occurs.No one would want to train today anyway as we have no power so we wouldn't be able to make your Tea 😂

We are keeping positive and optimistic on the weather and hopefully we will be adding several classes back to the time table from April. Also included will be a new class that will be totally focussed on whistle training, this can be an extra class for current clients or you can just attend to train your dog to recall, sit/down at a distance and directional/turn to a whistle.

During September we will be running an evening class, Thursday 6pm and possibly Friday 6pm. Puppy class / junior obedience. We are happy with any breeds but we are most suited to Gundog breeds and Xs. Working on toys and manners and how to build a good fun bond with your dog and control all that energy. A popular puppy is the the cockerpoo, so if you need help finding the inner cocker spaniel then this class could be for you. We have also split our Friday morning class in to two so that we can keep small classes for the young and easily distracted dogs.

Early stages of find and sitting on whistle. But huge progress in just a few sessions, who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks. For these boys it's just mental training / fun / distance control and to help them focus on the treat toy rather than other distractions. So find a toy and sit on it and then get a treat, easy peasy lemon squeazy 😂🤣😁

How to get your dog to drink when on a walk and maybe from something they are not use to or if you have had to improvise. This super cute boy who Ive started walking recently wouldn't drink from my portable tray or a travel bowl. So after a few days he has now got the "Go Fish" game. There is a small amount of water and Im putting small bits of treats that absorb the water and leave the remainder smelling of meaty yumminess.

As the restrictions change we can think about finding homes for our dogs in Foster we have a lovely lurcher and hopefully we can find a home for our special spaniel Deeks. Unfortunately adults only due to past issues of resource guarding and a home that will take our advise on further training. Please email [email protected] if you would like more details

Dog training and Dog rescue is now on a new website currently under www.k9i.co.uk . Both domains www.k9interaction.co.uk and www.k9interventions will redirect to it. The new combined name may stick as so much easier for people to remember 😁 After Jades lovely review if anyone wants to add one on FB or google I will duplicate it to the website 🙂 Cant wait to take new photos once normal training resumes.
