Luna was an absolute star on our first off lead walk and with solid Merlin who also never ventures far.

Luna has come to stay for a few days. She has boarded here before and already knew my older boys and the many playdates introducing her to Jamil really paid off. She settled very quickly.

Jamil looks so tiny next to boarder Brae.

Boarders always come with their dogbed from home for the comfort of habitual smells, but end up having a laugh on the sofa. Haha Brae, laughing right back at you.

Brae is staying for a few days and we went to the Flittick field with Eshaal and Legolas. They mainly just mooched about , smelled the earth , ate grass or rolled , but occasionally had a little run. I put a wet cooling coat on Brea , just in case and in greyhound fashion , he got too hot. I can't get over how big greyhounds are and how gentle. At home , Jamil thinks Brae is his new hero.

I am boarding again and yes usually only sighthounds , but when gorgeous Gus needed holiday boarding , how could I resist. We had many adventures over the week and felt quite sad to say goodbye. So glad I am friends with his ' mum' , so hopefully meet up again soon.

I won't be renewing my boarding licence. The lockdown brought all holiday boarding to a standstill and yes, I got a puppy now 10 months. I don't think it would be fair on Jamil to divert my attention in the foreseeable future. I loved every single one of my boarders or dogs I walked and so did my boys. I shall still help out occasionally and if the dog is a good match for Jamil. I feel gratitude to all the amazing dogs I had the pleasure to meet.

My story and in memory of Luka

My salukis (x) are my life’s greatest passion. My first saluki Luka ‘found’ me by chance ( but that is another story) and was my greatest teacher. Over the last 8 years I have fostered and yes adopted more salukis and yes it has been a baptism of fire at times. Having owned 5 rescue salukis (2 have passed away now) and having learned to cater both for their need for exercise and need to be kept safe, I think I am ready to really focus on finding some clients to entrust me with their dogs. My dogs do go off lead and in very carefully chosen areas, but is is not something I am offering to other dogs under my care. They will however have the opportunity to go on very long lead walks into the countryside, as walking in nature is my second passion. As a professional walker, I would only walk 2 dogs at any time.

I also had the privilege over the last 8 years, to walk a number of greyhounds already , both for a racing kennel as well as for ‘Greys. finding homes for hounds’, and, as with the salukis, health and safety is my motto next to the enjoyment it gives me.

As well as walking dogs, I would like to make use of my experience of fostering and integrating new dogs, and offer day boarding and holiday care. We now have a room dedicated to any dogs staying, with its own access to the garden. I will only ever take on 2 dogs maximum.

I do a lot of activities with my dogs, including saluki meetups on enclosed fields and lately canicross. Any dog staying, can be part of this on request.
