An eventful day!! Getting stuck in what I can only describe as cement like mud 🙈🤣 I had to take my foot out of my welly boot, to then pull my boot out! Resulting in a very wet and muddy foot/ sock 😅 wrapped my foot in poo bags and my sock!! 😂🥾
However! We had a fun day and Pepper, Smudge & Syd found a new walk which involved river trekking 🤣 a very eventful day!

Hello new followers + clients 👋🏽💫
I thought now would be a good time to re-introduce myself after a busy year & meeting new people!
I’m Sophie, or “auntie Soph” my fur friends know me as & I started up Mucky Paws during the 2020 pandemic - bit of a crazy time to start a completely new career & business but if you know me, it makes sense 😅
Before becoming a dog walker, I worked in childcare & I was very lucky to have an amazing boss & other colleagues who supported me with my new venture ☺️
It soon took off, and here I am almost 4 years later still loving my “job”. I then trained in dog grooming and set up a little salon, my parents gave up their garage 😅❤️
As well as dog walking + pampering, I love spending time with my husband, family + friends, holidays, good food, animals 😅, exploring new places, sunsets, the theatre, concerts, David Attenborough, games & simple things such as a movie night on the sofa with a glass of wine 😋 This year, we will be going on our honeymoon to Africa, and I’m SO excited! 😍 what does everyone else have planned for 2024?
Here’s to a happy & healthy year, with lots of “mucky paws”! 🐾💙🐶

2023 that’s a wrap ✨🫶🏼
I feel like I repeat myself a lot when I say how grateful I am. A job that doesn’t feel like work - pretty lucky!
Of course it is work, it’s having eyes in the back of your head, being responsible for someone else’s pride & joy, being trusted in their home & with their dog, knowing the dogs you take care of, which dogs can walk together & the list continues. It isn’t just a walk in the park 😉 I love each & everyone of these like my own. To some people I’m just a “dog walker” but these are part of my world ❤️
Thank you to my wonderful clients for making me feel valued, appreciated & just being amazing. A thank you for the gifts & cards, I can’t wait to open them 🥰 Always grateful ✨

Wowza, who actually slept last night? Taking the day as it comes, but any morning walks before 11am are cancelled due to the weather. I’ve never actually had to go through with not walking because of the wind. But in the 3.5 yrs of doing this job I don’t think it’s been THIS bad?! Ensuring your dogs & myself are safe, enrichment & games inside will be offered instead - however I will do my best to get them out for the loo in the garden! Hoping all clients understand, thank you 💨

Dog walkers Christmas meal 🥰
I’m sometimes asked “do you not get lonely working on your own?”
I tell people, I’m not on my own… I’m with my fur besties all day! And I speak to these ladies almost every day, sometimes we see each other on walks, we call after walks to see how each others days have been, help & support one another… laugh! I’m lucky to have known 2 before we all started our dog adventures. A few of us now share some of the same clients… there’s no competition here.
We meet up every now and again to have a good catch up over food & drinks ❤️
