What a kidding rollercoaster! From wind and rain to a full-on EastEnders special with Peggy Mitchell stealing the show—goat drama at its finest! Huge congrats to Peggy for being an absolute queen, Grant for making his big entrance, and little Lexi for her dramatic debut. Massive kudos to Dr. Grahame, Dr. Alexia, and Lorraine for being the real G.O.A.T.s when it mattered most.

Here’s hoping Farmer Stuart finally gets some bleat-y good sleep tonight—sounds well-earned! Looking forward to seeing more pics of the newest Mitchell crew!

This one-day vet led course will teach you how to relieve the pain of a lame cow before it is trimmed by a professional.

✨🐮Calving 2025🐮✨

We have finished pregnancy scanning now and in July & August we have 131 cows due, which is the most we have ever had!

Jamie does most of our scanning, but for the trickier ones our vet, Hana, from Torch Farm Vets - Farm Animal Services, scans them!

We know we have quite a lot of twins, which is very normal for our herd, but this year Hana scanned one cow who she thinks might have triplets!! Obviously, this makes the pregnancy a bit more risky, so they might not all make it. But how cool if they do?!

It’s been a LONG winter, so it’s very exciting to think ahead to brighter, sunnier days, filled with new life ☀️

🐦 📍Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been confirmed at a premises near Braunton, North Devon, Devon. A 3km Captive Bird Monitoring Controlled Zone (CBMCZ) has been put in place around the premises.
All bird keepers should remain vigilant and follow stringent biosecurity measures to prevent future outbreaks.
