Wendy and Claire of House and Hound of Holt provide a bespoke pet sitting service especially for pets who may not suit a stay in kennels. We both have houses in Holt with secure gardens and are licensed and Insured Pet Sitters. Enjoy your holiday, short break, or time away from your pet confident that they have stimulating company, are getting the exercise/playtime they need; that they are happy a

nd safe. Care in the sitter’s own home is also an option subject to availability. NNDC Boarding licences
Both Wendy and Claire each have a 5* boarding licence awarded by NNDC

Boarding in the Sitters home
Claire and Wendy are each licensed to care for up to 4 dogs each. They live in Holt and both have fully secure gardens. Daycare
We are able to offer day care subject to availability. Drop your dog and collect from our homes in Holt. A small surcharge may be made should you require your dog to be collected from and/or dropped off to your home. Dog Walks min 35 mins (often longer)
While we cannot undertake regular dog walking we can help on an ad hoc basis. If we need to collect/drop off from outside Holt it will incur a small additional charge. Pop-in Care
Dogs, Cats, rabbits and other small animals? We love all fur babies! Multiple pets or a car journey outside of Holt will incur a small additional charge. Christmas Bookings? We don’t charge extra for most bank holidays but care on Christmas Day and Boxing Day is charged at double time. Trusted - Experienced - Insured - DBS checked - Reliable - NNDC licensed

HHH is a 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 service!

It’s so important ask a home boarder if they are licensed with their local authority before leaving your beloved dog with them . Not everyone realises that a boarding licence is a legal requirement for those who charge money for home boarding pets (ie boarding the pet in the pet sitters home).

This involves having an inspection from the council that covers all aspects of safety, care and daily procedures. You also have to provide evidence of hygiene procedures, a signed emergency treatment agreement with a local vet, evidence of appropriate insurance (our insurers also require evidence of our licence before insuring us), and much more. The council then award any qualifying home boarder a licence and a star rating.

We are both very proud to have been granted 5 star licences which is the highest level of compliance to the regulations.

Wendy and Claire were out and about bright and early this morning to give their pooch guests a good run around Seaview dog meadow.
Hugo played the ‘how many tennis balls can I fit in my mouth’ game!
Everyone loved it and we managed to not get rained on. Result.

A sunny fun session this morning at Seaview dog meadow with Clyde, Biggles and Bunty who all got on famously! 😍

With four furbuddy guests today we decided to go to rainy Blakeney for a whizz around Seaview dog meadow. Lottie, Margot and Hugo loved choosing a toy from the crate to play with. Lemmy staged a protest about bringing him out in the rain. Hugo managed to coax him out of the shelter and fun had by all in the end. Great place to go. Four tired soggy doggies drying in front of the fire.

Wishing all our lovely furbuddies and their families a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
