A very recent installation of 60tph (on wheat) conveying.

We used thicker bases than standard on the conveyors as the customer does a fair bit of commercial drying as well as his own.

The thicker bases will give the machines greater longevity and the customer a much better bang for his buck 💰

Nice little video showing part of the handling set up at AWSM in the north of England.

The intake conveyor has 2 forms of inlet.

The first is a traditional mechanical reception hopper for bulk grain unloading from a lorry/trailer.

When there is no grain in the mechanical reception hopper, wet grain is received via the Monk hopper from the wet grain hopper bin.

The wet grain is fed from the conveyor into an elevator, which feeds the drier infeed conveyor.

As the drier is continuously fed, the excess grain that the drier does not take is fed either to the wet hopper bin or the intake reception.

We are delighted our Latvian customer loves his new belt drier so much that the grand opening was attended by 3 MPs and was covered on their national TV.

The belt drier is 42.5m long.
Fitted with 12 fans.
It can dry a range of products including grass with a throughput capacity of 1.9tph.

The Perry patented Grain Drier Fire Detection System uses a heat sensitive cable.

The cable is positioned strategically in the areas of the drier where a fire is most likely to start.

The way the wiring works means that the position of the fire within the drier can be easily pinpointed.

When a fire is detected an audible and visible alarm can be set to go off and the drier fans can be set to shut down to prevent air from the fans causing the fire to grow.

They did it!

Team Wild Waves, Charlotte Harris and Jessica Oliver have set a new world record for a women's pair to row across the Pacific Ocean.

It took 37 days 11 hours and 43 minutes to row the 2800 nautical miles from California to Hawaii. They haven't slept for days to ensure their victory 🏆

Their steering broke on day 7 so they have manually steered for 2/3 of the race. The wind was incredibly difficult. But they battled through and kept pushing to ensure their victory over another tough female pair who had been in the lead for most of the race.

This also makes them the holders of both the Atlantic & Pacific rowing titles.
