Just a quick reminder that I am away 31st August - 8th September, and I have booked an extra trip away 17th-21st October.

All other dates for the rest of 2024 I should be free for pet care bookings, including Christmas and New Year :-)

Last week involved care visits for tiny kittens as well as 3 adult cats ❤️🐾
It involved feeding, refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter trays, and a lot of head counts. Any issues that popped up were communicated back to the owner.
Ruby also learns to be extra gentle near small kittens, to help provide lots of stroking and cuddles for the kittens.

The owner has been a client of mine for many years, and it has involved several litters of kittens
- If vet bills and insurance wasn't so expensive, I think I could have easily have become a cat owner and purchased a kitten or 2 over the years ❤️
I will be good and stick to my pet mice though, which are a lot more affordable to look after 🐁🐭

I've had a couple of spaces become available during August for pet care visits, due to last minute cancellations. If any one is planning a last minute trip away, and would like their pets looked after in the comfort of their own home, please give me a shout.

Prices are £6 per 15 minute visit or £8.50 per 30 minute visit for Horley, fuel costs are applied to areas outside of Horley.
I'm experienced, qualified, reliable and fully insured. Established since 2010.

A busy week got a bit busier last week, when I had a call from a client who's cat escaped during their house move.

I will always try to help if I can, so I continued to feed the cat whilst the owner was a few hours away, sorting their new house out.
As well as feeding, I managed to sort out hiring a cat trap (a big thank you to Naomi Jones and Claire Whiteman for helping sort out a cat trap for me to borrow ❤️) and I finally managed to trap the cat and bought her back to mine for a short time until the owner could collect her (Sam & Ruby loved having a pet cat temporarily 🐾🐈).

I will admit I celebrated with some wine once I finally had her safe🍷🐾 that was definitely a manic week.
(If I have missed any messages/ calls and not got back to anyone, please just send me a gentle nudge to reply).

I'm always happy to help with extras - you only pay for my time, not for the amount of animals you have/jobs needing to be done... so I can put bins out, water plants, hoover if you have messy pets, clean up any wildlife that have been caught by cats, pull curtains etc.
All you have to do is ask :-)🐾🐾 xx

2025 diary has arrived :-)
I've already got a few booking for this Christmas & New year. (Christmas spaces do get booked up fairly quickly so I would advise planning ahead)

A tiny glimpse from a very busy couple of weeks 🐾🐾🐾🐾

A quick note...

Please triple check that you are sending me the correct dates when booking in with me. (Thankfully in all 4 cases in the last 3 weeks, either myself or the client realised before we had hungry/unmedicated animals).

Also please make sure you have enough food and supplies to last whilst you are away (I'm happy to buy fresh veggies if they go off too quickly/ you don't have enough fridge space to store enough for the length of time you are away - just give me a heads up, so that I can add in a shopping trip to the diary).

I'm hoping to get a diary for next year within the next couple of weeks, as I've had a few Christmas & New year bookings come in. As soon as it arrives, I will start taking bookings for 2025.

My only days off I have booked now is the 31st August - 8th September and 5th-8th December. All other dates I am working (July & August are getting rather busy, so I may have to start turning clients away for a few dates- so don't delay booking if you are needing pet care for summer)

I have had this weekend off work, as my little apprentice turned 2 today 🎈 ❤️
Most of my current clients have met my daughter Ruby and all the animals seem to love her, as well as Ruby loving all of my clients pets.
Thank you to everyone who allows me to bring her to work with me 🐾🐾🐾🐾

I'm back to looking after all the cats and small animals from tomorrow morning until Friday evening, then I am off work again for my 100km ultra run/walk from London to Brighton 🏃‍♀️

Just a little note of dates I'm unavailable for pet care services this year are:

18th/19th May
25/26th May
31st August - 8th September.

All other dates I am available for cat and small animal feeds in Horley and surrounding areas.

I can accommodate last minute bookings as well, as long as key pick ups can be arranged in time.

A little note to remind clients that small businesses are affected quite a bit by cancellations, it's not just a case of scribbling you out of the diary (which makes the diary very untidy and chaotic), schedules will have been made around your bookings, clients may have been turned away if we are fully booked for certain dates, finances will effected etc.

Also double check you are sending me the correct dates for your holidays, I haven't mastered my Mystic Meg skills unfortunately 🙈🤣

I am a lot more flexible than a lot of companies in terms of not making clients sign contracts, but if too many cancellations take place, then I will unfortunately need to get a legally binding contract set up for all clients to sign every time they make a booking.... a lot more complicated for everyone....
Especially for anyone with pets or toddlers who like to "help" with filling in the paperwork 🙈

Insurance renewed for another year 😊🐾🐾

I have spaces to take on more clients in Horley.
Visits are charged at £6 per 15 minutes and £8.50 per half hour visit. Morning and evening visits are available. Midday visits available (except sundays/ bank holidays) if required.
Fuel charges are added on for areas outside of Horley. Bank holiday days are double price.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New year.
Christmas was fairly busy with VIP's (very important pets) who don't appear on social media, so no pics being uploaded.

If anyone is looking for Pet care, I'm experienced with a wide variety of pets and diets. I am happy to deal with natural diets involving raw food, insects, day old chicks etc. as well as the standard diets of kibble, tinned meat etc. I can also clean enclosures, put bins out, pull blinds, alternate lights that are on/off, and set house alarms.

Nothing is too much trouble, just ask :-)

Prices are for my time not per pet :-)
15 minute visits are £6
30 minute visits are £8.50
Longer visits available by arrangement.

(Additional fuel costs are applied if outside of Horley.
£1 discounts are available for clients in Blundell Avenue & Bremner Avenue)

It's not just the pets I look after, I can rescue your robot vacs as well 🤣
I'm happy to help wherever possible - all you have to do is ask 😀❤️

Some of the jobs I can do other than the pet related jobs:

Pull curtains/ turn on lights (best if you have twice daily visits to make it look like you are home).

Put bins out for the bin men.

Defrost milk & bread the day before you return home

Water plants.

Adjust pet camera's if they have been knocked over/ aren't quite facing the correct direction.

Bring in post & parcels.

Plus lots more- just ask :-)

I'm offering both morning and evening visits over the festive period, so I am the perfect solution if your pets have 2 meals per day, need twice daily medication, or need cat flaps locking to in-only overnight.

Lots of experience with a variety of species. I'm very reliable, so once you are booked in I won't cancel ♥️
Fully insured, happy to set house alarms as well as pull curtains, bring in post, put bins out. My car is not sign written so it won't be obvious that you are away.

Evening all.
A non- animal related post.

I'm doing some fundraising events for SANDS (still birth and neonatal death charity) and wondering if I could share the details amongst you all to try and get more donations - feel free to share this post amongst your Facebook friends ❤️

One of the events I'm doing is hosting a ribbon display - so if anyone has lost a baby and would like baby's name on a ribbon, just pop me a message. These will be put on display on a fence in our front garden for everyone to see during Baby Loss Awareness week in October ❤️

I'm also doing a 15km run/jog/walk for the ribbon run, and I'm taking on a 100km walk/jog/run in May - the London to Brighton Ultra challenge.

If anyone would be kind enough to donate, It would be massively appreciated.
All donations get sent to SANDS on a weekly basis from my Justgiving page. Just £20 provides a memory box for grieving parents after the loss of a baby.
