So as usual we try and share the bad parts of this hobby as well as the many, many good things! Just to show it's not always hearts and roses. This is Filbert who recently won Best rex at Worcester, unfortunately on Friday there was an incident during feeding where he jumped from his Hutch and was met by another male. Although brief, this is what can happen when 2 males get together! This has seriously jeopardised, if not ended his show career, however we will see how it heals with treatment, more positive posts to follow throughout the afternoon.

No fingers are being pointed, it could have happened to any of us!!! Learn and move on

As usual it's busy times here at the moment, this lot are now 10 week's old, and 3 has become 2!! We are quite excited about our 2 keepers, meet Gizmo and Riven........

Took these last night just before she was collected to go to her forever home! Her new name is Forrest, and we think she'll be very happy❤️🐇❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I'm aware Mandie has already posted regarding yesterday's amazing day at Worcester, so I'll try and keep it brief.......

That our best ever result to date happened to come at Worcester made it extra special, as it is now the Adam Lancaster memorial show. At our first ever show that we actually took rabbits to, Adam was the very first person to talk to us, help us out, explain things to us, and most of all ply us with cakes!!! We became Facebook friends and would have the odd chat here and there, and from that point on, every time we saw him he would do the same things. We were so green and nervous, but Adam made us feel welcome and at ease, and I will forever be grateful to him for that. Although we only knew him for a relatively short time, I will never forget him, and he will always have a special place in our hearts. So yesterday when Filbert won Best Rex, it felt very special that it was at Adam's show. Below are Filberts full results.......

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS............

On Tuesday 6th, these pair both gave birth successfully. Truffle has 3 healthy looking kits, Tango has 4. Remains to be seen if Mandie has the colours she was hoping for, but I think 4 or 5 of these will be off to pet homes.

Anyone who has contacted us asking for babies over the last few weeks, we now have some, and they'll be ready to leave in 10 week's time. They can be reserved in the meantime❤️🐇❤️🐇🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

During the Christmas period, Bruno went off to a fantastic new home with a lovely family...........since then, he's had his little op, and yesterday Marmalade went off to join him!! Here they are 'just chillin'🐇❤️🐇

Something tells me they are going to be very happy together, this is the joy when they go to such great new homes. Best of all, they're still in the village so we get to see them!!

Lovely first show of the year on Sunday, and it seemed rude not to take some time out of the day and head for the coast at Bridlington as we were only 8 miles out! Dinner in 'Oh My Cod' as well, quality chippy naming right there🤣🤣

Results wise, very few Minis on display, but lots of Standards.........Both got 1st in their classes, and Filbert got his first CC.

This morning we are heading off to Driffield in East Yorkshire for our first show of 2024, to continue our journey of showing as HappyRock Stud! Admittedly we got a bit slack at the end of last year putting our results on here, but new year, new us!! As of tomorrow we will endeavour to share our results.
