‼️Antifreeze‼️

⚠️Did you know that this is a highly toxic substance to animals?

❄️In this weather it helps us get to work on time, however there can be consequences for our pets.

🚗Dogs and cats will most often come across antifreeze after it’s leaked from a car radiator, or been spilt after refilling screen wash.

‼️Some types are more dangerous than others, often ones that contain ethylene glycol are the most toxic.

❄️Antifreeze can smell and taste sweet so can make this a pleasant tasting poison.

🧹Antifreeze leaks need to be cleaned up straight away. The area should then be covered with cat litter, sawdust, or another absorbent material to discourage pets from licking any small amount left on the ground.

⚠️It only takes a small amount to be deadly, it can cause severe kidney failure, seizuring and become unresponsive.

‼️If you notice dribbling, vomiting, wobbly when walking, lethargic and fitting, contact the vet ASAP. ‼️
