RIP RATTY!!!
We've spent the last couple of weeks being given the runaround by a rat in a house. I would like to add that the property was clean and tidy dispelling the myth of rats only go to untidy properties ๐ค
An established entry point was blocked off and as such the rat made a new one slightly harder to find but again got sealed up.
To make things worse this particular rat had two obvious issues, Neophobia and trap shyness.
Neophobia (from the Greek neos, new and phobein, to fear) is the fear of anything new or unfamiliar. By introducing traps into the environment we triggered Neophobia.
Trap-shy often occurs if a rat has triggered a trap but not been caught or possibly seen another rat being trapped.
If you have a problem and are unsure how to deal with it then please feel free to get in touch.
