A day of jobs. Stable finally ready for foaling. Hay bar refitted. Saddles and bridles out. Clearing the stocks in case they are needed. Rugs on the broodmares ready for this sleety weather due to come down through the night. Fresh bale out. Very pleased with the weight on the mares, they would usually have dropped some condition by this time. I have damn good haylage this season, its keeping them well maintained.

This photo captures the size and build difference between these two.
Solo is a 17.2hh Oldenburg bred to event, she is an own daughter to Sandro Hit. Her offspring have been internationally sucessful.
Coda is 15hh American Paint, bred to do anything from ranching cows all day, reining, cutting right through to being that steady family mount that you could set a kid on, his bloodline is a string of money earning, proven performances horses decendant from some Hall of Fame horses, and horses that heavily influenced the what the breed is today.
After a sad outcome from this breeding last season which sadly ended in late termination of twins, it makes me incredibly nervous that in just 60 days this foal should be on the ground.
A serious event prospect is on the horizon, fingers crossed!!
The icing would be be a buckskin with stockings 😍

Our first BGS Sport C**t out into the big wide world was a huge step that started 4 years ago.
A new exciting year lies ahead, with new adventures and lots of zoomies. Lots of tiny paws and hooves due to arrive!
We added a couple of new faces to the fold, Echo & Sykes, and we are super exciting for the new arrivals to come in 2025 here at home and away!
