Thankful to have wonderful, talented vets within easy reach.
Daisy was proving tricky to read from foaling, showing no signs of a heat even with daily teasing. Working together with the vets, who were able to ultrasound and track where she was in her cycle, advised when she would potentially be in heat, we covered once naturally and followed up 14 days later. At the 14 day ultrasound, Daisy showed multiple structures, which all looked very similar in size, so our vets arranged to rescan a few days later. Me thinking the worst, that it was twins...spent the weekend over thinking π
We had everything crossed today for positive news. During the scan there was some small cysts, but I am delighted and relieved to say there was also a single pregnancy! Hopefully she continues onwards, we shall recheck but all looks hopeful! Thankyou to the fabulous team at Kessock Equine Vets. All the stud mares are now in foal for 2026.
