Dear Diggy Dog,
We were wondering if you noticed we have a HUGE sandpit?
We put it in especially for dogs who love to dig while getting their groove on. It's important to us that we offer as many safe activities as we can.

💩 💩💩 Ninja Poo Post 💩💩💩
The clearest indication to us that temperatures are tailing off, the weather is wetter, and daylights decreasing is the number of Ninja poo's lying in wait increases exponentially.
We don't mean one or two hiding in a tuft of longer grass either: the carpark, the sandpit, and even right next to the bin - I mean really?!?!?
We have provided poo bags every few fence panels all the way around The Field, even got them in bright orange so they stand out, and we've provided two bright red bins so you don't need to take anything home - what else can we do to encourage you to clean up after your pups?
All ideas welcome!
To get us started, I'll go first...
If you have one dog on a playdate, you pick up at least one poo during your visit - it doesn't need to be your dogs poo if you've lost it but just PAY IT FORWARD for the person who is gonna find yours in the future.
If you have 2 dogs, pick up at least 2 Ninja poo's and so on.
It's not complicated... it's Ninja Poo Math, who knows, it may also be very demure 😉
Every year, we increase the number of winter maintenance bookings, which means fewer daylight bookings for the pups and people who really need our safe space and that simply sucks.

Inverness Cathedral, dedicated to St. Andrew are holding a pet remembrance service on Sunday, 06 October, at 4pm, at Inverness Cathedral.
Rev Katrina would like to invite you and your pets along to this short service where the animals will receive a blessing and there will also be a time of remembrance for pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge.
This is a very personal choice, and if it's not for you then please respond with a heart or a hug anyway - kindness heals no matter how it arrives 💖
And, if you want to share a photo of your Rainbow Bridge Pupstars below, with that one story that makes you giggle every time, then we'd love to know more.

Autumn is sneaking in and so are the conkers!
It's that time of year when we need to remind you all to keep pups on lead in the carpark. We have a conker tree over hanging the back fence and conkers are not good for pups. The Field itself is conker free!
We are clearing them out during maintenance appointments but mother nature always has the last giggle.
If you're a conkers fan, please take some home during your playdate, mind to keep them away from pups.
40 ways to use conkers in the home - featuring conker crafts, conker recipes, and practical uses for conkers.

Did you notice the new phrase on the text messages? "Please don't be more than 5 minutes early."
We get you're eager beavers and can't wait to get crackin' with your playdates, and we love that you love coming to us because you feel safe and secure. You can relax those shoulders, ground yourself in nature (behind our Alcatraz fence), and simply breathe.
We've purposefully built in a 15-minute buffer to give everyone maximum peace. Arrive 5 minutes early to open gates, change shoes, etc, 60 minutes of playfulness and presence, 5 minutes to change shoes back and exit. There should be 5 minutes of blank space between every appointment. We've chosen to offer less bookings in a day so that our customers (the pups!) have more playtime and leave stress free.
You showing up more than 5 minutes early is intimidating. We know that's not your intention. However, it is the reaction created. We own the place and have experienced this feeling of unease being watched for 45 minutes!
If you arrive early, adopt the approach of 'out of sight, out of mind'.
Please don't send our pups home with stressed out humans. It's not fair.

Quick reminder to "be punctual but not early" for playdates.
We know you're trying to make the most of your playdates, especially those chasing daylight as the days stretch. The lure of walking in daylight after work is enticing!
We're getting more feedback that the next folk due in are showing up super early and it's not fair.
They've paid for their anxiety free 60 minutes the same as you and we've built in a 15 minutes buffer to ensure your paths and pups never cross. I'm not sure what else we can do - suggestions welcome.
If you arrive early, please find a safe waiting place away from the main gate to allow others to finish up guilt and anxiety free 💜

Have you lost some cash recently?
We've had some money handed in. If you think it's yours let us know the amount and we can get it reunited.
If no word, we'll donate it to Munlochy Animal Aid

BANNED BREED UPDATE
As lovers of all dog breeds (and an owner of 1.5 Staffordshire Bull Terriers), we don’t necessarily agree with blanket banned breed legislation.
However, as business owners wanting to be able to support all dogs, regardless of breed and background, we need to fall in line for our own insurance so that we can continue to offer owners and pups a safe place to be outdoors which to us is the most important aspect.
Many of the banned breeds terms and conditions should already legally be in place for the dog and others are mirrored in our existing standard terms and conditions so they shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Points 10 and 11 are the main changes, and it’s a hark back to the Covid mixing homes criteria. In essence, if you mix homes then the lead and muzzle MUST stay on the banned breeds, and it needs its own 1:1 adult handler.
We understand this is a hard pill to swallow, but for us to continue being able to offer you a safe outdoor space to let them run free unmuzzled then we need to ask you to follow this rule, no exceptions. Please help us to keep this space open to others in the same predicament as you.
Banned breed additional Terms and Conditions
We are covered by our insurance providers to hire our private and secure area, The Field Inverness, for banned breeds on the following basis:
The dog meets all legal requirements:
1. The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED). A copy of the life certificate must be provided to us in the event of a claim.
2. The relevant public liability insurance is in place for the dog. A copy of this certificate must be provided to us in the event of a claim.
3. The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules
4. The dog is Micro Chipped – also in line with Government Rules
The Field meets all requirements:
5. The Field is private property with no public access passing through providing you’ve locked both gates – this is in the standard terms and conditions (S.T&C’s) already.
6. The Field is securely fenced so the dog cannot escape – check you are confident that our fence line is proper for your dog prior to unleading and unmuzzling them as per S.T&C’s
7. The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the smaller Field gate is locked when entering the field. All dogs should be onlead in the carpark anyway as per S.T&C’s.
8. The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the smaller Field gate to leave the field. Again, all dogs should be onlead in the carpark anyway as per S.T&C’s
9. You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field – once all the gates are locked and you’re confident about the fence lines as per S.T&C’s
Who be joining the banned breed:
10. If the household has more than one dog, they can come to The Field together as long as they have a minimum of one adult handler. All dogs leads and muzzles can be removed once in The Field including the banned breed.
11. If there are dogs from different households, the banned breed will need to remain muzzled and on a lead at all times with a 1:1 adult handler. The other dogs need a separate adult handler.

The Field Inverness
The Field Inverness is a tranquil and fully secured 4-acre field designed to offer dogs freedom and fun, while allowing their owners an opportunity to relax and enjoy playing with their furry loved ones.
Located on the outskirts on Inverness, just off the A82, The Field Inverness allows dogs an opportunity to run off lead in an open and safe environment who wouldn’t necessarily be allowed off lead in open public spaces.
There are a variety of reasons for dogs remaining on lead such as training in progress, high prey drive, owners / dogs in poor health, dogs fear reactive, vulnerable walking companions such i.e. youngsters or elderly. Feedback through our booking system states “owner peace of mind” is the most ticked option.
Every detail security has been thought of during the design process:
Fully secure and lockable carpark area for up to 6 cars
Gates are designed to lock you in as well as others out ensuring no-one else can enter
Logs have been placed under the main gates to close the gaps
A 6ft deer fence surrounds the entire perimeter – carpark too
A 3 ft rabbit fence has been installed internally to the deer fence to contain the little ’uns
The rabbit fence has been fitted underground to thwart any diggers
For the climbing canines in the community, there are roll bars along the top of the 6ft deer fence
The area is flat, meaning there are no vantage points for dogs or hiding places
The Field Inverness has seating the length of the expanse and it’s lined with trees and nature all around creating a sense of ‘countryside calm’ and ‘escape from the city’ for owners while their furry friends can run flat out until their wee hearts are content.
