I am fully insured, DBS checked and have completed a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Course run by the National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers UK (NarpsUK) which includes First Aid. I have also completed a course in Animal Welfare and am now enrolled on to another course called 'The truth about Cats and Dogs'. My experience with dogs comes from my time living in the Middle East working wit

h a charity group (Muscat Dog Adoption) where I was part of the team who fostered, walked, fundraised, rescued and re-homed street dogs. I also have lots of experience with cats between rescuing/fostering stray, street cats in Oman and fostering for the Cats Protection in the UK. As of November 2023 I have been running the business for over 2 years, have a fully kitted out van and love spending my days with all my four-legged friends. I have also pet sat for various animals from cats and rabbits to snails and geckos.

GROUP WALK AVAILABILITY COMING SOON

From the beginning of September I will have one group walk space on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday available.

The group walks are suitable for dogs with good recall and/or can walk nicely on a lead.

On the group walks:

- there is a maximum of 4 dogs per walk
- they consist of established packs who get on well
- the dogs are safely transported in individual purpose-built crates

In addition to this I am local to Kintore, have completed an SQA certified first aid course and professional dog walking certification along with having knowledge in canine body language, puppy training and more.

A wee bit of hedgehog drama to start off the day…

This little hog was given to me to throw instead of a tennis ball last night by one of the dogs I’m looking after just now. I quickly swapped it for a tennis ball and removed it somewhere safer for the night.

I delivered it to New Arc Wildlife Rescue this morning and hopefully it will recover soon 🦔 🎾

It’s been a busy day to start off the week at Kintore Pet Services.

Today my little assistant and I have been looking after:

10 dogs
2 cats
2 rabbits
1 hamster
1 leopard gecko
1 snail called Gary
and some fish….

I was very pleased to find out I passed the Easy Peasy Puppy Instructors course over the weekend and have now been listed as one of the few Instructors in Scotland on the Steve Mann Dog Training website 🥳

For any of you who bought the book to use with your puppies, you’ll know how good it is 🙌🏽

The lovely Ozzie joined the pack this week and got on well with his new buddies, Bella and Murphy.

Afterwards Freddie, Betty, Hollie and Dillan came out for the 2nd walk and enjoyed being out in the sunshine ☀️ 🐾

* Training Walks *

Spaces have opened up twice a week for 30-45 minute training walks. If your dog is struggling with something and could do with some 1 to 1 support or if you have a new puppy who would benefit from some additional lessons, please get in touch.

These spots will be kept at my standard solo walk price for the moment as I’m still in training myself.

Due to customer relocation I have a couple of spaces in the group walks coming up soon too. Get in touch if you’d like your dog to get out and about with some new friends 🐾

I haven’t posted much lately but the pack was very happy to welcome newbie, Betty, to the walks on Friday.

It was a gorgeous, sunny calm day and Betty fitted in very well with Rex and Murphy. I’m looking forward to getting to know her better and seeing her with her new friends.

Also, finished off the week taking Harry and Lexi out on a walk through the fields. Lovely!! 🥰🐾

Happy New Year!!

After switching dogs for cats for a few weeks I’m now home and looking forward to getting back amongst the pups tomorrow 🐾

Christmas is nearly here and Kintore Pet Services is now on holiday - swapping dogs and cats for lions and zebras for a couple of weeks.

Thank you so much for all the support this year, it’s been a tough one, and I’m so thankful to have such lovely customers and people happy to recommend me.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas with their family, friends and pets and I wish you all the very best for 2024.

I’ll be back to work on Monday the 15th of January so I’ll look forward to seeing you all then.

Some of you will already be aware but I have recently decided to rename my business. This was due to a couple of different factors and nothing at all to do with my daughter informing me it sounded like I ran a pet shop. 😉

The business will now be known as Kintore Pet Services as opposed to the previous Kirsti's Pawfect Pets.

I'm also hoping to add a couple of new services to the business soon so watch this space 🐾
