Are you all ready for Christmas? It's that time of year again and we want to make sure your pets are covered!

We are closed 25th & 26th December and 1st & 2nd January

We will be closing early at 4pm on 24th & 31st December

Please ensure you have enough medication to cover the festive period as our last day for ordering will be the 22nd December and then the 29th December

If your dog meets the criteria and are able to be called at short notice please give our practice a ring during opening hours.

DONOR CRITERIA:

🩸Fit and healthy
🩸Between the ages of 1-8 years old
🩸20kg or more
🩸Good temperament
🩸Never travelled abroad
🩸Vaccines and wormer all up to date
🩸Not on any medication

We will add potential donors our list. If required they will receive a health check and full blood work at no cost.

⚠️ All donor dogs would require sedation for the procedure.

🐴 Late summer worm egg counts 🐴
As we are approaching the end of summer, this is the perfect time to hand in the final worm egg samples of the year from your horses.

With wormer resistance on the rise it is increasingly important to move away from routine wormer treatments. 20% of horses carry around 80% of the total worm burden, meaning many do not require treatment!

All worm egg counts are performed on our state of the art analyser, which provides fast and accurate results on egg levels and the worm species present. We also routinely run samples for sheep and cattle!

An elderly black labrador that is a little stiff in his back legs has been handed into our New Deer practice. Unfortunately has been wondering for a few days now and was found near loanhead cottages/ farm. Has also been spotted heading up the hill towards Culsh.
