This horse was going to be put to sleep for being dangerous as kicked a farrier around 30 weeks ago vet advised. Luckily the owner took her horse to one of my customers and I’m now 4 trims in every 6 weeks and the trust between us has grown significantly. It’s not always the horses fault all I’m saying just needed time to build a relationship. I adapted my self around the horse and although I was obviously cautious I didn’t show it and I showed trust to the horse which then worked both ways now completely relaxed and we all feel this horse is now saved. Luckily the horse didn’t cause any serious injuries either to person who was kicked. All I done was a calm approach and kept the horse comfortable and each trim the horse has been less tense and today completely relaxed and vet has returned very surprised and pleased 👌😊

This is a video of a horse that is on my trimming round. At first when I took this horse on the feet were really struggling all healed now thanks to our wax, better environment and my self trimming. However the video shows clearly how our wax is effective even before the hoof has healed as it shows how sensitive this horses foot was as there was a sensitive sole underneath then at the end of the video I can rub our wax into the hoof without a reaction from the horse. Safe to say this horse had a speedy recovery and now managing fine this winter. It was under un sole caused from an abscess.
