It’s Pet Dental Health Month! This month is all about raising awareness of your dog’s oral health🦷

Dogs can suffer from a wide range of oral problems, just like us humans! February was declared National Pet Dental Health Month by the American Veterinary Medical Association to highlight to dog owners the importance of keeping their mouths healthy.

A whopping 85% of dogs over the age of 3 experience Periodontal Disease so keeping on top of their oral health is really important to avoid them developing any problems later in life.

Here at Dog & Jones, we regularly have pet owners come to us needing help with their dog’s smelly breath, plaque build up or yellow teeth. So, in celebration of Pet Dental Health Awareness Month, we’ve put together a guide on how to keep your dog’s gnashers sparkling and their oral health in top condition.

PUPPY ALERT!‼️🐶

This is Kaylee, a gorgeous golden retriever puppy🥺She visited us this week to pick up some new food and toys.

She melted all of our shop staff’s hearts and we heard lots of oooh’s and awww’s from everyone around the shop as she explored with her owners!

She even got a bit sleepy towards the end of her visit and snuggled down with her new Green & Wild's satsuma toy, turns out it’s tiring being so cute🥰

🎾=LIFE

According to Tia here we have the best balls. She’s not wrong. We don’t compromise, we could buy cheap, low quality tennis balls but we choose to have ours made by THE only manufacturer of tennis balls in the UK.

They have proper bounce and are as sturdy as a tennis ball can be, they can withstand the serve of Andy Murray but they probably still couldn’t withstand five minutes with LouLou & Walter.

Dog Walking Spaces Available Now!🐾

We now have some availability for group walks, solo walks & drop in visits, in Kegworth.

We have been dog walking for over 6 years now and still aim to be the highlight of your dog’s day by offering fun filled walks.

Your dog will be taken to one of many exciting walking destinations, that we are lucky enough to have right on our doorstep!

After at least 50 minutes of running, swimming and sniffing your pooch will be returned happy and content for the rest of the day.

We are more than happy to hose down and towel off any muddy paws!

We will arrange a time suitable for you for your dog to be picked up; we work from early morning until early evening, so walk times are very flexible.

During a free introductory visit, we can obtain all the information we need and answer any of your questions. We can even go out on a walk together so we can learn more about your dog.

Thank you to all of our customers for making this our best & busiest Christmas ever! We hope you’ve all had the best couple of days celebrating!

2024 isn’t over for us yet as we are back open until 2pm today & 9am-2pm tomorrow. Join us tomorrow for our ‘EVEN BIGGER Group Festive Dog Walk’, that will set off from the store at 10:30am🐾
