Meet VERA, an Asian Shepherd bitch who is looking for a new forever home!

Vera came to us when she was 7 months old and since being rehomed in late 2023 has lived with a family and their toddler since. She has recently had to come back for rehoming after nipping an adult who was vacuuming.

Vera is a 50kg+ dog, so she needs an owner with experience of large breeds!

Central Asian Shepherds have strong guarding tendencies, so a potential owner will need to have time, knowledge and commitment to give Vera.

You will also need to think about food costs, vet bills and everything that comes with big dogs costing more!!

Because of her past home, Vera is good with kids but can't tolerate cats! She gets along with other dogs but can be reactive on walks. Other than this she walks well on the lead and has been house and crate-trained.

Vera is currently up-to-date with all her vaccinations. She wasn't spayed on the advice of a behaviourist when she was young, which is now being reviewed. ​

We have shown off a lot of the live acts for the adults and parents so far, so today we're going to show off the entertanment for all the little humans at the event... Aggie's Disco!

Ali Aggie is a local children's entertainer who has appeared at a lot of our events, as well as many local parities! 🪩
With years in childcare under his belt, he puts on amazing shows for the young ones!

Aggie will be playing throughout the day at Dog Fest, down at the end of the field across from the bar!

Here is the first of the live acts that will be performing on our top stage throughout the day... MICKEY ANDREWS! 🎶

Experience three decades of guitar/vocals-driven nostalgia: from 80's synth-pop across to Britpop, and into Pop punk and indie classics from the early '00s!

From 12:15pm - 1pm Mickey will be providing a full range of good dance hits that will kick Dog Fest off with a bang.

Meet MOLLY, an energetic Patterdale who is 8 years young! 🥰🐾

She has had one owner her whole life but due to a new boisterous baby in the household, her requirements for living a calm and active are no longer being met. So after months of struggling to try and fit her in to their new family, her owners have made the incredibly difficult decision to put her up for rehoming to a house that can better meet her needs. 💔

It is evident that Molly needs a quieter household with a little less chaos as she tends to avoid the little one!

Molly loves attention and would play out in the garden all day if she could!! 🐶🪴

🏃 She currently gets lots of zoomies and mild reactivity, which we are sure would calm right down with the right amount of exercise and mental stimulation.

Molly is mostly unsocialised, so she does exhibit some reactivity—so we would not recommend her going to a home with other animals!

Chester is a loving 2-year-old Staffy-Corso cross who is looking for a new home!

We are looking for someone with STRONG BREED EXPERIENCE, as Chester needs a strong leader! He is strong on the lead and can get giddy and jump up when meeting new people, which both need to be addressed with training.

He is generally okay with other dogs but is vocal when barked at... but he loves children and is always happy for a cuddle! ❤️

Our loveable Staffy x Bulldog BUSTER in foster care with Michelle! 💖🐾

Buster is a lovely young dog who loves being around people and other dogs. He is very intelligent and responds very well to positive re-enforcement and treats so we believe he would respond to behavioural training well! 💪
​
Buster has not had any consistency in his life in regards to routine, exercise, training or even feeding. 💔🐾 As a result it does take Buster time to settle into a new environment.
He would benefit greatly from an experienced dog owner willing to give him the time and patience to become the wonderful loving pet we all know he can be!
