Our Kelsae Collars girl, Lexy, is thirteen today 🎂
Phil and I never dared to believe that we would actually get her to this milestone
When Cody, our other Kelsae Collars dog, died in September 2022, Lexy just wasn’t herself a while later
Cheviot vets investigated and we found out last year, when she was twelve, that Lexy has liver problems as well as the chance of a growth somewhere
Meds and supplements are all taken in the hope that they’ll help but now her liver is enlarged as well
Lexy is now at a much slower pace the last few weeks, but still eating and drinking. Short walks and a little mad turn too but these do
leave her quite breathless afterwards sadly
Thanks to Cheviot Vets, Kelso for their ongoing care and Donna and Ketch Kitchingham for letting us have their gorgeous puppy all those years ago
So now we just take one day at a time with our Lexy. She asks for nothing but love and she gets it in huge amounts. Along with belly rubs, dried fish treats and whatever else takes her fancy from the treats tin
Happy birthday Lexy xx
