MISSING CAT:

This young boy has been missing since last Saturday and was last seen on Tontine Street in Folkestone. His family are very worried and want to find him. If you live in the area, and see him, please be kind, feed him, give him shelter and let us or your local shelter know. He is chipped and is called Tiny.

WAIF OF THE WEEK:

This poor little gentleman is Bob.
He was abandoned and had been living rough for some time, so his trust in us humans has been seriously tested. He appreciates calm attention and he will regain his confidence, especially once he has a real home again with loving people.

A HUGE THANK YOU!

We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of all of our wonderful supporters throughout the year.
All the donations we have received, whether via PayPal, bank transfer or cheque, items of food, bedding, toys and saleable items make such an enormous difference, and allow us to continue our much needed work. All of you who have named us as your chosen charity with Pets at Home, contribute to our quarterly Lifelines vouchers which really help to feed the cats in our care.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR CLOSING:

Our centre will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day to give Ruth and Allan a chance to recharge their batteries a little. They will still have all the cats to care for, but we will be closed on these days. Emergencies however, will still be dealt with. ###

UPDATE: Mr Oaks has been homed and is enjoying his new life.

WAIF OF THE WEEK:

We have updated our adoption pages and this gorgeous big boy is Mr. Oaks.

He was homeless, hungry and exhausted, but he has had plenty of rest and tasty meals since being with us. He is 6 years old and a lovely friendly boy. He would like a quiet home where he can enjoy plenty of cuddles, kindness and comfy sofas. CATS HOMED:

These are just a few of the lucky cats and kittens that have been offered loving homes this Autumn. Some are already in their new homes and some will be collected soon. This is always the happy ending to our work, which fills us with joy.

ANGRY AND UNPLEASANT COMMENTS:

Sadly we have recently had some people becoming very angry when either they, or their friends haven't managed to adopt a cat from us, and have made some unkind comments.

Sometimes people's homes are unsuitable for the cats we have available, and just because they want a cat, doesnt mean we can always oblige. At other times, for some reason messages dont get through to us, and that can lead to us not getting back to people.

We would like to remind anyone who is angry with us, and are tempted to spread negative comments, that every aspect of our work is voluntary. Nobody is paid for the dedication, time and hard work they put in, which is considerable. A great deal of the work is emotionally draining as well as physically taxing.

Ruth and Allan have given their lives to their mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats and kittens. They are both past retirement age and regularly work more than 14hrs every day of the week including weekends. Their volunteer team have their own jobs, homes and lives to manage as well as their roles with us. We are all only human, and as such are not perfect.

We apologise for any disappointment that people feel when wishing to adopt, but we must place the cats in our care into situations that will offer them the best possible outcome.

We know that the majority of our followers understand our work and what goes into it, so please accept a huge thank you from us. 🐈

They all have homes to go to, Clover and Manuka, Bluebell and Loki and Pumpkin and Pip will all go their new homes in pairs. and their mum Honey will go to a home where she will be pampered for the rest of her days. Only three homes would ever have been lucky enough to adopt Honey's kittens, so we know that lots of people would have been disappointed - although we hope you have enjoyed watching them grow, and seeing how unbelievably cute they are!
