So delighted to share this handsome chocolate Labrador Ronnie with you! He was one of my Christmas commissions but was gifted early! Sometimes the anticipation is too much! I'm thrilled to be able to share 🤣♥️
I really enjoyed working on his rich Colouring and matching nose. Absolutely adorable!

So thrilled to share my portrait of Tess with you. It's not very often I get asked to do side profile portraits so was really excited when the photos were sent in.

I also love to make black fur come alive. Indigos and cool greys with purples and chocolates. They all come together to add depth and realism to black fur. ❤️🐾

JINXED.

I got to know this little dachshund very well when I had to paint her twice last month. One of the drawbacks to painting at my dining table whilst being a SAHM to an energetic toddler. Coffee got knocked. Jinx got wet. (And yes that really is her name! 🤣)

Safe to say beverages are now placed a little further away from current WIP's

But anyway. She's so gorgeous I didn't mind painting her twice!

So very proud to share my latest portrait with you. This one took over my house with her striking appearance and prominent presence was felt here.
This is Minnie, a beautiful long hair tortoiseshell who has sadly passed on.

Minnies owners absolutely adored her and I put everything into this portrait to make it special for them. We went big, basically life-size. She certainly made an impression when I delivered her yesterday and it felt like a welcome home.🐾

Beautiful Minnie was painted using a mixed media approach. Pastels, pencils, charcoal, watercolours and gouache. Layers upon layers and the time and effort spent was certainly worth it.

Such a beautiful moment being able to gift a memory back home.

So pleased to be able to share with you my recent portrait of Daikini the calico cat. Sadly this portrait is a memorial piece after she recently passed. It's such a sad yet special part of my job being able to gift a snapshot in time back to those who loved her. ♥️🐾

My garden studio is seldom my place of work during weekdays. With a baby and toddler at home who require supervision I have mostly been set up on the dining room table. Tonight after finishing a beautiful calico cat I turned my lamp off and sat with this golden sky for a few minutes before the babIes bath time. 🐾♥️ It's the little things ❤️
