πππ πππππ ππππππ Just before Christmas Tallulah and Freya went on a slightly different visit to usual. We visited the prison for a Christmas party, it was an absolute privilege. The day was organised so children could bond with their dadβs at a time they couldnβt all be together. ππ πππππππ π I have been lucky enough to spend the last three weeks in Thailand enjoying the sun, but there is nothing like coming home to spend time with Freya and Tallulah. I have really missed them. They are enjoying a well deserved month off after being so busy in December. A really sad week for us here Magical Minis, Lovable Miniature Donkeys, I was unsure whether to write a post but I know some of our followers ask for updates regarding Freya and Tallulahβs pregnancies.
Unfortunately Tallulah sadly lost her foal on Saturday morning at 8 months, so all visit have been on hold for a few days for her to rest and to also check it wasnβt a virus that could also affect Freyaβs foal. I havenβt slept all week with worry!
The vets have advised that it wasnβt a virus, so thatβs positive. It was most likely due to an abnormality in the umbilical cord.
Tallulah is back to her normal cheeky & mischievous self and we have been given the go ahead for tomorrow to finish our last week of visits and give everyone loads of Christmas donkey cuddles.
Thank you to Cherry Blossom Care Home and Sally Turvy for being so understanding for cancelling your visits at the beginning of this week.
And also thank you to Hannah at Oakham Veterinary Hospital Equine for all your support over the last few days when I definitely needed it!
Iβm so relieved both Freya and Tallulah are ok and fingers crossed for everything going ahead as normal for Freya, and having a healthy baby foal in April.
