I don’t often post pictures of my furry customers. The dog thefts put pay to that 😩.

I’m also aware that to post cat photos may advertise that customers are away.

I think I’ve informed all my customers but just in case;

There will be no dog walks tomorrow or Tuesday 18th and 19th July) due to the hot weather. I’ll see what Wednesday brings.

I can still do welfare visits.

You’ve all been wonderful in supporting me through 2021. It’s been a pleasure looking after your dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoise, axolotls and fish (I think that covers them all 🤔).

I hate to mention the C word in October, but I will be closed for Christmas from 5pm on the 23rd of December and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday the 28th of December.

Well, we’re now in Tier 4! Not really unexpected.

Paws and Front Doors will still be available for dog walks and visits (if required) as long as the rules allow. All precautions will continue to be taken.

I’m exceedingly grateful to all my customers who have used my services during 2020. However, if you work from home and would rather not use me whilst we’re in tier 4, I completely understand and fully intend to be here for you when we finally say goodbye to Covid ###

Paws & Front Doors is now open for dog walks. No mixed group
walks, local walks only (no car journeys). Precautions will be taken in accordance with Government guidelines to protect customers, dogs and myself.

Minimum handling of dogs, collection from back garden if possible, face mask worn when entering customer’s houses, regular hand cleansing and disinfecting of door handles, leads etc (I’ll be using my own leads which will be disinfected after each walk).

Well it’s the start of week 6 of lockdown! I hope that you’re all well.

Paws and Front Doors is still following the lockdown rules so no walkies or visits until it’s safe to do so. I’ll then be following all guidelines to keep all my customers safe.

Many of you have contacted me to check I’m ok. That so very kind and very much appreciated.

Stay safe and well and if I can be of any help please let me know. I’m more than happy to pick up some shopping or prescriptions for anyone who has to self isolate (no charge, just happy to help if I can) ###

Dogs are one of the nation's most-loved animals, but are some breeds naughtier than others?

Please don’t get these for your pets this Christmas, as you can see this is rawhide and it has been artificially dyed red and green and glued into different shapes.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.
Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.
They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Please be safe this Christmas and pick a much nicer alternative for your pooches♥️

Paws & Front Doors won’t be walking dogs in the extreme heat. We’ll be doing home visits for a comfort break and play in the shade.

However, I have one dog in particular who won’t wee in his own garden, so to save the poor little chap bursting he will get a quick walk round the block in as much shade as possible. I’ll carry him over the hot pavements. If you see me out then please be assured that it is a very, very brief walk and I wouldn’t dream of risking a 30 minute walk in this heat 🥵

People often ask me how far I walk in a week. This week it was 58.2 miles 🥵It would have been more had the hot weather not prevented some walks.
