You all know Gavin, well this is his adopted sister, Stacey.
She came to us with Gav for some boarding but she is also a daycare student. Stacey is as per the greyhound type, sweet, sleepy, cuddly and sometimes a little goofy. 🩷

This group of dogs feel like family. I see them week in week out and have done for years now (Radley was one of my first clients! & I've watched Milo grow up) and they all have a place in my heart. I feel joy when they're happy to see me, sadness if they get sick or hurt & proud when they achieve things. People always say "ahh dream job" when I tell them I work with dogs, the winters are hard and we all have off days, but with dogs like these who can say it's not!

Steve.
Steve is new to Field and Whistle since returning from maternity. He is a daycare student and absolutely full of character. A smart boy with a real zest for life. He's already learning the ropes of the pack walks and his sit stays are coming along beautifully.

🖤 Happy National Black Dog Day 🖤
Did you know, black dogs are least likely to be rehomed? Particularly black greyhounds and even more specifically, black male greyhounds?
After having lots of greyhounds through my door, owning one, boarding them, fostering them and working with new owners, I can honestly say they're one of my favourite breeds. They're so easy to do, chilled out gentle giants. Junior has done so much with us and if I had the room, I'd fill my house with them.
Black might be boring to some but for me, there's nothing better than a glossy black coat when a dog is fit and healthy.

And honestly, why are we still picking dogs based on looks anyway?!

From October we will be offering daycare services!
This will be in my home and replacing dog walking services.
All dogs will have a big daily walk with lots of cuddles, rest and a bit of fun training in the afternoon.
The aim is to return your dogs happy and tired, not over stimulated.
Please note this will be a small scale daycare with limited spaces so to guarantee a spot please let me know as soon as possible!

I've been quiet here but busy in the background!
We have had our latest licensing inspection and are finally 5 ⭐ licensed! This means we meet the highest standards of care for your pups! When finding a home boarder, do ask about their licence as it will give you an idea as to the level of care they provide to your pets. All home boarders MUST be licensed.

For existing clients you may see a few updates required on the booking system, please complete this and make sure your details are still correct and up to date. If you have any queries at all please do drop me a message I'd be happy to help!

I have reduced the number of dogs I am able to board to 3 from 4 due to baby's arrival, this means I will likely book up sooner than usual so do send any enquiries in good time.

I can't wait to start seeing you all again in the Autumn!

P.s Dorothy is doing just great! We are all a little tired but she's worth it!

She's here!
On Monday we welcomed Dorothy Jean Davis to the world.
She's healthy and perfect and we are very much in our newborn bubble!
Please be patient with me for a few weeks, I will absolutely come back to you as soon as I have a spare minute!

MATERNITY LEAVE
I am now on maternity leave until September(ish). I will do my best to respond to enquiries when I can.
I will not be taking on any new clients.
I am hoping to start boarding again in the late summer/autumn for existing clients but will be taking a much reduced number of dogs so I will fill up quickly. Please send any enquiries ASAP!

I'd like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to all of my clients who have been incredibly supportive and kind and have genuinely made me love my job and the people/dogs I work with. You've made a special time even better for us so thank you so much!
