TERMS & CONDITIONS
HEALTH & WELFARE
It is the clients responsibility to ensure their dog is fit and healthy and must notify us of any issues prior to their appointment or at the time of collection. Grooming may expose underlying skin and health problems that we cannot be held liable for. Whilst every care and attention is given to your dog they are accepted at your own risk. Our first concern is the welfare of your pet, so in the event of illness or injury a vet will be called and unless it can be clearly shown that we are liable all costs in connection and carrying out their instructions shall be at the owners expense. If we have any concerns we will call your vet however in the case of an emergency we may use our nominated vet (Pet Vets, Keynsham) this may not be your registered vet, therefore it is very important we know of any existing issues, whether they are historical or recent. Please inform us of any changes in your pet’s health or temperament to allow us to continue to provide a service tailored to your pet’s needs. PLEASE EXERCISE AND TOILET YOUR PET BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. Pets with pent up energy do not stand well for grooming and it may also heighten any behavioural issues. A dog with a full bladder/bowel can find the grooming process uncomfortable and will be agitated throughout. TIME KEEPING
PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL. We work by appointment only. The appointment is allocated for your dog’s groom has been booked at your request exclusively. We do not double book appointments, a no-show is lost income. If you know you going to be reasonably delayed please contact us immediately, we may be able to accommodate. Clients arriving more than 30 minutes late for their appointment can be considered a missed appointment and may have to re-book, this will incur a charge of 50% of the cost of the groom. If you need an earlier drop off/later collection time due to other commitments, please discuss this with us when booking. When you drop off your dog we will tell you either the time to return or that we might contact you when we have completed the groom. Most grooms take between 1-2.5 hours, very occasionally more, depending on the size and temperament of the dog, and its coat condition. It is advisable not to return to the salon before this time, as your presence may distract your pet during the finishing stage of its groom. It is essential that you collect your pet either at the agreed time, or soon after you have been informed they are ready for collection, as once the groom is finished your dog will be eager to go home and may become unsettled or anxious and cause a distraction to the next dog being groomed. Again, please contact us if you are running late. APPOINTMENT CANCELLATIONS
We request a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your dog’s appointment. The slot can then be offered to other clients. NO-SHOWS & LATE CANCELLATIONS (of less 24hours notice)
A fee of 50% of your usual groom price may be levied for missed appointments and late cancellations. GROOM FEEDBACK
You will be given feedback after every groom. If you have any queries or need further clarification, please just ask or contact us at a later stage. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pet’s groom, please let us know before you leave. Reasonable requests to alter the trim will be dealt with immediately or changes noted for the next groom. We are more than happy to disclose any details of your pet’s groom or advise you about how best to care for your pet’s coat. PRICING
All prices quoted at the start of the groom are FROM. You can reasonably expect to pay more than the starting price for;
• Matted, poorly maintained and / or overgrown coats.
• Pets which are difficult to manage or uncooperative during grooming.
• Timid, anxious or nervous pets, which require frequent breaks and may need special handling.
• Dogs that require 2 groomers present
• Dogs that require salon exclusivity. If we are unable to complete a groom due to behavioural problems or aggression you will be charged the starting price of the groom. All costs are payable in full at the time you collect your pet. AGGRESSIVE & POORLY SOCIALISED DOGS: THE DANGEROUS DOGS ACT
We reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog at risk of harming us or itself. If your dog is accepted for grooming and displays aggression that we have not been informed of during its session, the groom will be terminated immediately. You will be contacted to collect it. The full starting price of the groom will be levied. You must inform us prior to grooming if your dog has ever bitten or displayed aggression. Failure to disclose this information may result in refusal of further services. Your attention is drawn to the Dangerous Dogs Act, which holds owners liable for bites and injuries caused by their behaviour. Many thanks for your co-operation. Susan & Paule
