Meet Lord Alfred the Third, the new king of the animal room 👑
Alfred is a “Pac-Man frog” or Argentinian horned frog, (C.Cranwelli)
They are called pacman frogs because they are very rotund and have obnoxiously large mouths that swallow pretty much everything that wriggles by!

It’s time for animal of the week!
These are my macleay’s spectre stick insects!
Latin name- extatostoma tiaratum
Origin- Australia
Diet- Eucalyptus in the wild however in captivity they can eat Eucalyptus, Hypericum, Rose, Oak, Blackberry, Raspberry, and Hazel leaves!
These guys are fantastic! They’re one of my favourite animals to use for a display of self defence!
-They use myrecomorphy, which is when the little babies look just like ants to avoid being eaten! 🐜
-They also use motion masquerade, which is when they sway to seem like leaves in the wind!🍂

Welcome to Animal of The Week!
This is Jewel, our Antilles pink-toe tarantula!
Isnt she beautiful 😍
Their Latin name is Caribena Versicolor, and their babies are bright blue!

Previously placed in the genus Avicularia, C. versicolor is native to Martinique in the Caribbean Sea. Antilles pinktoe tarantulas are arboreal. They spin elaborate funnel webs in which they spend most of their time.
