‼️HEAT STROKE‼️

Heat stroke is extremely life threatening for our dogs. I've seen far too many being walked mid day on the roads around Kidderminster today, including many flat faced breed dogs😞

No dog has ever died from missing a walk but heat stroke kills dogs.

Keep your dogs hydrated, cool and safe💜

My walks have been made earlier in the day before the temp rises and I switch to garden visits as soon as I deem it unsafe for your pooches as per my summer policy💜🐾

I could talk about this topic for hours and how much that I disagree with the ban but that's not what this post is for.

I have spaces for new clients and I'm also insured to walk XL Bully's with exemption certificates.

Be aware that in order to legally walk your XL Bully:

🐾Your dog will have to be walked alone, my solo walks are charged at £16 per hour. I am unable to walk two dogs of the same household at the same time as to comply with the law of 1:1 handling.
🐾Your dog will need to be muzzled.
🐾Your dog will need to remain on a lead.
🐾Your dog will need to already have an exemption certificate and personal liability insurance. (alongside my own insurance as a dog walker).

I love all and every dog, I have experience with over 150 dogs, mainly nervous rescue dogs but also including: XL breeds, as well as reactive dogs. I'm currently completing my 'Dog Trainer' qualification which will be an additional service added to my business once I am fully qualified.

Did you know that some breeds are more likely to suffer from heatstroke? As well as elderly and overweight dogs.

🌞 HOT WEATHER 🌞

Just a reminder of my summer policy!
⁣
🐾 All walks will be replaced with garden visits if the temperature reaches above 23 C.⁣
⁣
🐾 When possible, walks will be moved earlier or later in the day when it’s cooler. ⁣
⁣
🐾 Walks may be cut short if the temperature rises whilst we are out. I always carry water with me on walkies and will stay in the shade as much as possible.

I'll be taking each day as it comes and will make sure to keep your fur babies safe! 🐾♥️

🎉 Exciting news! 🎉

I have been accepted onto my Dog Trainer course which starts in March! I've always had a passion for helping as many dogs as I can, especially foreign rescue dogs who are often harder to understand.

Don't worry, I'll be continuing walking your fur baby's/ house sitting alongside doing my course! Once I'm qualified, I'll be offering training and classes as well as my current services offered! I'm very excited for my next steps!
