2023 … what a year, thank you to all of my amazing clients, coaching you all has been so rewarding and makes my job even greater looking back on all your progression throughout the year 🤩

2023 was a year full of highs…
✅Becoming a full time freelance coach.
✅Being awarded the Young Equestrian Leadership Gold award at Windsor Castle.
✅Breaking in and producing 4yo Mollie.
✅Introducing clients to competitions.
✅Qualifiers for Katie, Sophie and Bea.
✅Working with new clients and training horses.
✅And lots of competing with great results.

Very successful outing last Sunday for Sophie and Katie at their first dressage competition with their own horses and Sophie’s first ever competition on Gem👏🏻

Both girls have worked so so hard in there lessons at home and at the competition and I am very impressed with their determination as always.

Both girls qualified for trailblazers and placed in each class , well done girls!⭐️

Very proud coach yet again with this duo , Katie and Charlie smashing it yesterday at Hill House showjumping.

The aim of yesterday’s competition was for Katie to try and improve some of the areas she wasn’t as happy with from last weekends show. She definitely improved her technique from last week and rode super , I am very impressed👏🏻

Another day another proud coach post😁

What a weekend it has been for my clients and their first time out competing on their new horses👏🏻

Today Katie and Charlie have been showjumping and competed in the 60cm and the 70cm. They was big classes with a very busy environment and Katie brought her A game (as always) and rode super, I’m am forever proud.

I have taught Katie since being at the riding school and to now teach Katie on Charlie who we’ve only had since summer, and is Katie’s first owned horse who can be a little challenging at times, she has put the training sessions in week in and week out and her hard work shows weekly and especially today! It makes me very proud to see Katie grow over the years.
Today was a massive win for team Katie and Charlie , taking a win in their 60cm class, well done 👏🏻

Now back to training this week ready to be back out again next weekend, the determination these girls show me is outstanding and so refreshing to see the younger generation coming though😁

Fantastic result for this combination today on their first competition together👏🏻

I am a proud coach every day with all my clients, people ask me why I love my job? I tell them when you see the hard work , dedication and the sacrifices that goes into all my clients training and lessons is admirable!

I first starting teaching Maisy at the riding school, when she had a large break from riding and she wanted to get back into riding. I look back and I am very proud to see how much Maisys riding and technique has improved but her amazing training attitude to strive to improve.

Today, was their first competition, Harry is still very young and green, and is a big horse to handle and he can be very challenging.
I always tell my clients it’s not about winning it’s not about the prizes, its about all your hard work and effort you put in prior and the competition solidifies your progression.

There is always going to be something to work on or improve and there always is in horse riding and in life, but it’s about having the correct attitude and keep the determination 👏🏻

Well done Maisy and Harry!

Clipping day today for Gem 💎

Sophie her owner wanted Gem to have 2 big love hearts on her bottom, so that’s what we did.

Sophie (9) was very interested in learning about clipping her pony. Sophie has assisted me today while clipping Gem.
Once all the lines was put in and the love hearts , Sophie took the reins under my supervision and was clipping like a pro!

I am very proud of Sophie, any thing she sets her mind to she impresses me more and more. Sophie watched and listened amazingly with how to clip and observed me clipping in the beginning amazingly, well done 🌟

I currently have availability to take on new clients for coaching, I offer 30 or 45 minute lessons.
I hold my BHS stage 3 alongside my Equestrian Sports Science coaching degree. I am first aid trained and have my DBS checks.

I coach all ages and abilities, from 3 year olds, to pony club riders to leisure riders to competitive riders.
I currently coach weekly at Meadow croft farm in Ulceby, Irby and Prospect farm, that I have spaces at. I also teach in the surrounding areas, please contact me if you would like further information.

Very very proud coach yesterday😁

After feeling very poorly with tonsillitis knowing that teaching was going to be a struggle , the girls yesterday brought their A game and I couldn’t be more impressed of them all how they rode!

Katie and Charlie worked on an 90cm course working on focusing on the quality of the canter and such a massive change in their round! I’m very impressed with Katie’s positive attitude and the passion she has in her riding to always want to improve, alongside her technical knowledge of what was successful in her riding and what we then need to do to improve.

Maisy and Harry… after a little wobble of loosing confidence at the start of summer with new horse Harry who is only 5, Maisy excelled all my expectations yesterday for the lesson! The confidence and drive maisy had yesterday, whilst focusing on Harry’s technique and keeping the line to all fences was incredible, as that is still Harry’s area we are constantly trying to build up.

And last but definitely not least, Mrs Sophie and Gem, if you have been following Gems journey on my page you will know she’s had some time off with lameness over summer. We have been sticking to Gems rehab program and been working on Sophie and gems skills, whilst we built up a little more strength and fitness for Gem. Gem hasn’t had a large amount of schooling before we got her , so we’ve been sharpening and tweaking the little areas we want to improve. Yesterday I challenged Sophie to ride with no reins and to steer gem around the arena with her leg(that had a full course of showjumps in). Including different size circles around the arena and fences and lots of transitions, focusing on Sophie’s leg and seat aids which was on point! Trying to show the importance of how Important our legs are and highlighting all aids to steer not just using reins. After Sophie taking in all her training she has achieved, we worked on raised poles in walk and trot focusing on the turns on approach and the ride away , maintaining straightness. Whilst working on Gems rhythm and engaging her core to lift over the poles rather than rush. Well done Sophie and gem ⭐️

Idge worked her socks of yesterday as George was even more excited than the norm. George is a very highly strung pony and finds life very exciting, it takes a lot to calm George down, yesterday even more than usual. Idge worked so hard on her positioning and using her seat as her main aid.

As I said to Idge yesterday, we have days where our horses are more challenging and some days when they go amazingly, however we take the small wins each session and look at the positives from each session rather than the weaker parts.

Bea has really found her passion for riding since meeting her new pony Bug (who is the loveliest mare) and has re found her love for flat work. They have worked there socks of this morning and made huge progress from the start of the lesson to the end, well done 👏🏻
