Little Daphne has been weaned for over a month now. She’s doing really well and never really cared at all 😅🤷‍♀️ She’s still out with all her mates and aunties in the youngstock paddocks.

Mumma Fleur is in a paddock at the front with Cali and is nice and dried up. She’s put back on a lot of condition already, which is great. She also didn’t care about leaving her baby 👋😅

This area is inbetween our static Airbnb and the workshop and main stable barn. We lovingly call it the “sh*t tip”.

Our plan is to eventually turn this area into one for our stud work. Next year we will gut it completely and set up a couple of mare and foal boxes and a few spare stables with some stocks in the middle.

But for now we are clearing the area and suring everything up, and will use it as a communal dry space with shelter, hay and bedding for the polo ponies to have some rotated inside time! A couple of them have very, very bad feet so they need quite a lot of love and attention over winter to bring them back enough to play in the spring. Challenge accepted, of course 😉🤞

Sidney was the chosen lorry dog a few days ago for a customer wanting to hire our horsebox for loading practice!

Our horsebox has barn doors, no step at the top of the ramp, a sliding stallion partition, and full height jockey doors that separately open into the grooms area. This makes it as friendly as possible for young or nervous loaders.

If anyone would like to hire our horsebox for anything similar, please give us a message or fill out the quote form on our website.

Confession time! We ballsed up with the Flexiride delivery. Just didn’t comprehend that the lorry would be so large and so tall, and so the old floodlight wiring prevented the Flexiride from being tipped into the arena. Cue hauling 18 tonnes of the stuff into the arena by hand 😂🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

We don’t have a tractor (yet) so Pip and I roll bales around all the time. Kate often complains that we take a long time when putting hay out, so there was only one thing for it 😂 She’s giving us more slack now 😇

One of our Sprocker puppies, Hodgkin, had a play date this morning with field regulars, Daisy, Elsie, and a new addition; little puppy Nancy 😍🥰 so cute 🥺 These cavaliers are instagram famous, too!
