Road trip today with Equine Bodyworks By Mary Sargeant 🚙😁. What a fascinating and informative day, with so much to take away from the day.

Thank you to Sue Dyson for sharing her vast amount of knowledge and experience, showing us what she looks for when assessing lameness and behavioural signs of pain. I would highly recommend going to this if it comes up again.

Thank you also to Wendy Suddes and the team at Here4Horses for organising this event and for their tireless work as a charity, helping to make the world a better place for horses 🐴😍.

Also thank you to Tilly and the team at Home Farm Equestrian for allowing us to scrutinise their gorgeous horses and for the use of their fabulous facilities. What an amazing set up. I have serious fencing envy 😂 and, as for the indoor school, just WOW👌🤩

Wow what a fantastic day at our first event held at Home Farm. So much was learnt and covered! Can’t thank everyone and of course Sue Dyson for holding such an informative event! Everything that was covered was very relevant to all the beliefs we as a yard have and are working towards so thank you very much everyone to making it such an enjoyable event and hopefully we will have lots more in the future 😊 very happy with how both the horses behaved and reacted to having a big crowd at home ❤️

We are seeking to appoint a motivated, energetic, and experienced groom for our professional showjumping yard in North Yorkshire.

Your duties will include maintaining a range of horses, for a young amateur female showjumper. While your duties will be largely focused on looking after horses that are in competition, you will also be involved with a small number of young horses. You will also be expected to help maintain the facilities in pristine condition. This will likely involve the driving of small farm vehicles, for grass cutting, harrowing etc. If not already proficient in these areas, then training will be provided. Work at both local and a small number of international shows will also be likely.

You must have exceptionally high standards of yard and equine management for the day-to-day care of our horses and maintenance of equipment & property. Being neat and tidy always is essential! Be confident and capable of working alone. Must have great communication skills and be able to communicate with clients. Have the energy, drive, enthusiasm and “can do” attitude to deliver a wide range of tasks in a timely and professional manner. It would be great if you have a HGV license but this is not essential.

Home Farm is a compact state of the art training facility and is one the best private yards in the UK! Fantastic facilities and even better horses! It’s a very relaxed environment and we all enjoy a chat and a laugh and we’re all very supportive! Having a sense of humour will go a long way.
We have an indoor arena, canter track, numerous fenced paddocks, hacking, and grass arena with a full set of show jumps. Together with 19 beautiful Röwer & Rüb stables, a solarium, two Sebo tack rooms, and clipping/shoeing/veterinary bay.

The position is Live in or Out. With a negotiable and competitive salary commensurate on experience.

We are based in a highly desirable village, midway between York and Harrogate. There is a train station in the village and the train from York to London lakes 2 hours and 10 minute!

Hi Everyone 👋🏻, my name is Tilly Shaw I’m an international showjumper, I’ve competed up to CSI4* 1.40 and am still climbing the ladder. I’m a fully insured coach with HSI level 1 training, I have my child safety and anti doping certificates and I also have a degree from Hartpury university which is a BSc in Equine Science.
Its finally time to give the follow up information about Home Farm, Kirk Hammerton and what we have to offer 😊 Arena Hire and canter track hire are now open- I will be getting a booking system but for now please text me on 07946480230. Arena hire cost for one hour is £45 and any added horses is £5 after that with full set of jumps and canter track hire for one hour is £25. We ask you pick up all droppings and stay off the grass please as we want to keep this nice for the summer! We are also open for Full Livery and Training Livery if anyone is interested in livery please ring/text on my number above.

We also have 5 boxes available and with private tack room to rent out to a sole person and anyone interested in this would need to contact me to discuss what’s included and the costs, again my number is 07946480230. We are also able to provide accommodation at an added cost.
