Lucy Baker Canine Therapist and Dog Walker Offering you peace of mind and your pet physical and mental enrichment! We have always had dogs and other animals as part of our family.

I know how stressful it can be when you have to leave your pet alone. My mission is to make this less stressful for you by making sure your pet gets exercise that is both physically and mentally enriching. While you can rest assured they will be treated as my own. I am fully insured, DBS checked and have an Ofqual level 3 first aid qualification. I am a member of the National Association of Pet Si

tter and Dog Walkers and currently working through their various courses. I offer walks or puppy pop-ins (suitable for pups or dogs unable to manage a long walk)
For other pets I offer home visits and pet sitting in your home. We currently have a Collie cross Aussie Brin, as part of our family, she is super active. In 2021 she developed an unexplained limp and after regular veterinary treatment did not help her I found alternative therapies they not only helped but solved her issue. I always felt I wanted to understand them more, so in 2023 I started training in Reiki and as a Canine massage therapist, I will qualify at the end of 2024 and hope to share updates with you on here.

Just a couple of walks this morning before the long drive to Oxfordshire for my last practical. My brain hurts already, I wish I could snooze like this little girl.

Brin's favourite weather hasn't arrived yet but it's certainly cold!
If your dog wears a coat please leave it out for us to use, also I have some towels but feel free to leave out an extra towel for your dog.

While most dogs cope well with the cold if the weather stays this cold or drops then pups, older dogs or any struggling with the cold may not be out walking quite as long but will get play or cuddles at home.

Thank you

There are not many local options for overnight boarding for dogs so I am often asked "can you have... to stay" My answer has to be no, I do not offer home boarding, I offer pet sitting, so what's the difference?
Boarding involves your dog staying at my house, this requires a licence and different insurance. Think of it a bit like childminders homes. If your dog goes to a boarder you should see their licence etc. This is not kennel it's staying in the boarders home. I know a great one locally but you must book in advance.

Dog sitting does not require the sitter to have a licence but a responsible sitter should have insurance, a dbs, a level of training/experience and first aid etc. The sitter (me) comes to your home and cares for your pet. Again always book in advance honestly I have bookings in 2026 already!

I get asked "why not board you would be busy and make money" my reason is I do not care for your pet to just be busy and take money, I love my job because it allows me to love your pet and do what is best for my family and yours.
Happy weekend I hope you're having a great one!

Sorry to mention it! I know its only October but it will be Christmas before we know it.

As it falls on a Wednesday I will not be walking the 25th or the 26th! We are also away Sat 28th to Sun 29th but this won't affect my weekly walks.

Could you all have a think about what walks/visits you might need over the festive period, if your walk falls on the Wednesday or Thursday do you want me to move it to another day or just miss the walk.
Thanks in advance (I'm trying to be organised)
