I wanted to put a little notice up about my policy regarding fleas

I do NOT accept any dogs that have fleas

If you have found out that your dog has fleas please let me know in advance so I can reschedule your appointment once your dog has been treated and is completely clear of them.

If you bring your dog in and you are unaware that they have fleas, the groom will most likely not be completed and there will be an extra charge on top of the full groom price.

I really don’t want to charge anyone extra however, if a dog enters the salon with fleas it means I have to shut the salon and cancel any appointments that day. This is to allow me to thoroughly deep clean and spray the salon.

Please check your dog when brushing and double check before your appointment to avoid an extra charge

Thank you so much for understanding!

🦟 Fleas in Winter? Yes, they’re still a problem! 🦟

Fleas don’t disappear in winter - they can stay active and even thrive indoors where it’s warm. Keep your pets protected all year round with these tips:

Regular treatments 💧 - Continue using flea prevention products even in colder months.
Check for fleas 🔍 - Inspect your pets regularly for any signs of fleas.
Clean bedding 🧼 - Wash your pet’s bedding frequently to kill any hidden fleas.
Vacuum often 🧹 - Regularly vacuum your home to remove fleas and eggs.

Stay vigilant and keep those fleas at bay! 🐾❄️

Bonfire Night is fast approaching! Let’s help our furry friends out 🎆🎇

🎇🎆 Fireworks can be very stressful for pets, and with events like Halloween, Bonfire Night, Diwali, and New Year's Eve coming up, it's important to prepare early to keep your pet calm and safe.

🎪 Create a safe space:
Set up a quiet, comfortable area in your home where your pet can retreat during fireworks. Make it cosy with their favourite bedding, toys, and even a piece of clothing that smells like you.

🔊 Get them used to noise and loud bangs:
Start playing fireworks sounds at a low volume weeks before the events. Gradually increase the volume over time, and reward your pet with treats or playtime to help them associate the sounds with something positive.

🥰 Keep things calm:
On the night of the fireworks, close curtains to block out flashes and play calming music or turn on the TV to help drown out the noise. Your calm presence will also help soothe your pet.

🔌 Use calming products:
Consider using calming aids like pheromone diffusers or anxiety wraps. Speak with your vet to find the best option for your pet.

🏡 Keep them indoors:
To keep your pet safe, keep them indoors during fireworks. Close all doors, windows, and pet flaps securely. If your dog needs to go out, do it before the fireworks start.

🔒 Update ID and microchip info:
Ensure your pet's ID tags and microchip information are up-to-date, just in case they manage to escape.

By preparing ahead of time, you can help your pet feel more comfortable and safe during the fireworks season.

Autumn has finally arrived! 🍂🎃

It’s that time of year where we bring out the cute and cosy jackets for our furry friends… a groomers worst nightmare 😂

I absolutely LOVE seeing our furry friends in their little jackets to help keep them warmer in the colder months (Oscar has one too!)☺️

But as a dog groomer I’m here to ask you to please please keep on top of the brushing if you are deciding to put a jacket or even a harness on your pup!

With the windier and wetter days the maintenance of our doggos coat increases

The rubbing of the jackets on our dog’s coat increases the chance of matting significantly!

This means that we should be brushing our dogs coat EVERY TIME we take the jacket or harness off to help make sure we prevent this matting and prevent a shave down🫣

Or getting our dogs cut shorter with the help of a jacket to keep them warm will bring down the maintenance a bit (we do still have to brush though!) 🙃🐾
