Bethβs Dog Walking Serviceβs
Terms & Conditions
General:
1: All Clients will be deemed to accept the terms and conditions when booking walks with their dogs.
2: The Client gives the walker permission to enter their property to carry out the meeting of the animal at the arranged date & time.
3: All dogs must have their telephone number on their collar and must be chipped.
4: Dogs must be in a secure location when being collected. (running around in a garden does not count as safe)
5: The client is responsible for any veterinary bills not matter how they are incurred while they are in the care of Bethβs Dog Walking Services.
6: Although we have Public Liability Insurance, pets must be insured by the client. Bethβs Dog Walking Services has the right to reject a client with no pet insurance.
7: Although our company will provide the best care we can for your animal, Beth's Dog Walking Services cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death whilst in our care.
8: Animals that live in a household that have had a positive COVID-19 test will be rejected due to the health and safety of the walker.
All dogs must be provided with leads/harnesses etc. Bethβs Dog Walking Services wont be held liable for any injury or damage caused or incurred for the clients dog escaping due to ill fitting or faulty equipment supplied by the client.
Terms and Conditions:
1: Bethβs Dog Walking Services wont confirm any booking until a consultation has been made to meet the animal that is going to be walked. The owner must inform the company of any behavioural or medical conditions such as aggression, antisocial, possessive behaviours and lack of training. Medical conditions would include incontinence, travel/mobility problems or chronic vomiting.
2: The company should be informed if you animal needs to use or has ever used a muzzle, if so then this should be made available to use at our discretion.
3: Bethβs Dog Walking Services have the right to refuse or discontinue walks that are deemed as unsafe due to the customers animals behaviour. (as defined by the Animal Welfare Act, 2006)
4: The client must provide a telephone number for an emergency contact. A nominated vets details should also be given if we are unable to contact the number we have been given in emergency.
5: Where possible and by owners permission (as this does have risks), dogs will be let off the lead in safe areas such as parks, valleys and woodlands.
6: Due to covid-19 at the moment the company is walking one household per booked slot, walking up to 3 dogs per person.
7: Unless there are exceptional circumstances all walks are for a duration of 1 hour which does not include picking up the animal or dropping them off at home.
8: In hot or cold weather (e.g. heavy snow or extremely hot weather) walks may be shorter to ensure the comfort of the dog. This will be at the dog walkers discretion,
9: All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations (including Kennel Cough) and must be up to date with all flea and worm control treatment.
10: Owners must contact the company if the animal develops any infectious conditions (e.g. conjunctivitis, kennel cough etc.) and will not be walked until this has been cleared by their vet.
11: Towels should be provided to wipe down your dog following the walk (especially in adverse weather) and left at the front door.
Payment:
Full payment of services is to be made within 7 days of the specified date on the invoice via cash, cheque or bank transfer. If payment is not made within this time then 2.5% of the total bill will be added for each day that the payment is overdue.
Any additional costs (e.g. vet fees or Parking fees etc.) when your animal is in our care, we have the right to pass these costs to the client.
Cancellations: If you would like to cancel please let us know no less than 48 hours before your booked session. If the required notice isn't given then you will be fully charged.
