Hi & hope you’re all coping in this horrible weather 💨🍃. We’re off to warmer climes on Saturday and might not be able to answer messages in a timely manner as we will be busy chilling out. But if you’d like to hire the arena you can book before Saturday or be prepared for a small delay on response. It’s a year since we said goodbye to the man whom the arena is named after. The legendary Mr John Clarke. A true horseman, friend and all round wonderful human. I was very lucky to have met him and be affected by his positive outlook and infectious wisdom, which fortunately remains with me. Rembering John Today ❤️

We’re very lucky that we can fit a grid plus a course of jumps in our arena. Here’s a peek, but remember heights and distances can be adjusted to suit! We love you coming over so please message to book in. We borrowed the minions off a friend, they won’t be here too long!

Enjoy the bank of 7 mirrors to help you perfect your position. Work on the cavaletti or poles. Train over the mixed variety of jumps in a quiet setting on a private yard. All on a super fibre & sand surface that never rides deep or boggy.

We are pleased to be open again and welcome you back. The arena has has been freshly harrowed & levelled with something for everyone. We have a bank of 7 mirrors for the dressage diva’s and a big space by them with no jumps for flat work, we have a grid, a little course of jumps with a good variety of fences, jump4joy cavaletti all set in a quiet location on a private yard. £15 per hour, plus £5 for any additional horses. Clinics/instructors welcome!

I am delighted to be taking booking again from March 29th. We have missed your visits here and can’t wait to welcome you back as we love sharing it with our lovely clients.
The arena has been kept busy with my little girls, here is Elise having her first canter on her pony after suffering with confidence issues for a very long time.

Following the most recent government update we will be moving into Tier 4 from midnight tonight (31st December).
The arena will remain open for hire for those residing in Tier 4. No clinics are to be held at the arena during this time.
If you are in a lower tier and have an existing booking please contact me for a refund.

I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and thank you for your support. I can honestly say it’s been my pleasure to meet you and your beautiful horses. Fortunately as we enter tier 3 restrictions, I can continue with my ‘micro business’ arena hire and the arena is available over the festive period. Enjoy your day whatever way you choose to spend it. On a perfect 4 stride for a horse or. Perfect 5 for a small pony. Get working on your related distances - something I struggle with!

This is a great exercise to perfect landing on the right lead. There’s room to go left or right to keep your horse thinking. Once you’ve mastered that you can practice your tight turns and jumping on an angle in a figure of 8. Laura Renwick uses this one a lot with her horses!

Course changed & freshly harrowed.
Can I politely remind anyone using the to return it how the found it please. We’re happy for you to amend distances and make yourself at home here, but I’ve been off my feet the last couple of weeks and it stated to look a bit messy, affecting my arena ocd!

Hurrah - we are taking bookings again. Come and train in our quiet arena. Set of wood Showjumps, cavaletti, bank of 7 mirrors all on a beautiful landtech surface. £15 an hour, additional horses £5 each. Clinics and group lessons can also re commence providing guidelines are adhered to.

We’ve had confirmation from BEF and it looks like arena hire is not permitted however you can travel to exercise your horse and have 1-2-1 lessons. This is all very mixed, but on occasions your circumstances might fall within the rules, I’m not prepared to break any rules, but feel free to message me should you be unsure of your specific situation. Any friends of me may also continue to use my arena free of charge - which is permitted, if you don’t have one at home until the rules are relaxed. I know some of you simply can’t exercise your horses at the moment without an arena. This can be done contactless, safe and at virtually no chance of spreading this awful virus. Message me if you need me, keep safe. Mel & family.

Good news! We can still offer arena, with slight restrictions. Lessons are still ok to continue. All sessions are to be for one household only and no additional people in the arena or spectating. It’s a good time to get training if we all keep to the rules.
