Romi the little rescue! very nervous girl for her first groom, I can tell she has a gentle soul 🥹
No hair dryer today because it was abit too scary for her so she went home towel dried!

It’s going to take a few more goes to get her semi confident being groomed by me but I’m really looking forward to seeing progress each time 🥰

Just a reminder if any grooms are cancelled with less than 24hrs notice you will be charged a £20 cancellation fee, fail to pay that fee I won’t be able to rebook your next groom.

*Also going forward for my Walkies clients, if you have to cancel your dog walk within the 24hr timeframe and this can’t be moved to my other schedule walk day then you’ll still have to pay the £15 for your dog walk! *

As a working mum my time is valuable to me, I can only work evenings once my daughter is in bed and when I have childcare. If I have a cancellation at short notice not only does that effect my business financially but also my clients that may have wanted that appointment time. Thank you for understanding xx

It’s going to be super hot this week for Walkies and grooms!

To minimise your pups being exposed to this heat I will be walking your dogs in shaded areas and giving them regular walker breaks, if I feel your dogs are struggling I will have to cut there walks slightly shorter😊

With grooms please understand that I may take longer to groom than usual due to taking regular breaks for myself and your pups!

If I feel my groom shed is too hot and they are not coping well I will have to reschedule or stop the groom

More progression from Doug today! He walked to my groom shed without mum, jumped straight on the table and also straight in the bath after his brush!

To think 2 years ago I couldn’t even get him on my table or in my bath I had to wash him on the floor 😂 as you can imagine I’d get soaked!

It’s never easy with a rescue but it’s one of the most rewarding parts of my job when we see progress and trust 🥹

Could barely get the dryer near her last time and now look! Just chilling looking out the window. It did take time, when we first turned the dryer on we just focused on drying the back end untill she adjusted to the sound and feel of it 🥰

Had a lot of my cockapoo owners struggling with the hidden matts by the skin. So I done a quick video with Rupert to show you when brushing you should also be combing🐾 Try popping dog on the table when when brushing this help them realise it’s grooming time. Keep the brushing time a positive experience, lots of treats and fuss! I will add links to my page for brush’s, combs and de-Matt spray 🙋🏼‍♀️

At Dorys Dog Cutz We always save a few minutes for playtime before the parents arrive 🤣

4 month olds Cookie the Cockapoo in for his 2nd puppy pamper, he’s no longer worried about the hair dryer. Next time we will be focusing more on the clipper noises so prepare him for his big boy groom🐾
