Langford Vet Practice Langford Vets University of Bristol Langford Vets Small Animal Practice provides veterinary services to pet owners. Students always work under the supervision of our vets and qualified nurses.

We are a dedicated first opinion small animal practice and maintain the ‘family feel’ for our patients and clients. Our staff have years of experience with pets and as a part of this we have the added advantage of access to the facilities and expertise of the Small Animal Hospital (www.facebook.com/langfordvetssah) who offer a wide variety of specialist services. Our high standard of care is enhan

ced by the good relationship the practice has with the hospital and its consultants. Langford Veterinary Services runs the practice to teach University of Bristol final year veterinary students and student veterinary nurses the skills required in general practice. Consultation times may be slightly longer but in our experience clients enjoy being part of the learning process and being involved in the discussions and decision making with the veterinary students.

Cheeky Bear went on quite the adventure today! Found near Tout’s in the early hours, this mischievous explorer has now been safely returned to his loving owner. 🏡💖 And the best part? He’s on his way home to reunite with his girlfriend! 🐾💕

We were thrilled to see so many people at our Hop In Health Checks on Sat 18th January at Langford Vet Practice. Local rabbit owners brought in their bunnies for a free health check with our experienced vets and nurses. They were also offered diet and healthcare advice and leaflets and some free rabbit goodies, courtesy of Supreme Petfoods.

We had a great day with an excellent turnout of local people taking advantage of our offer, and gained a number of new clients from running the day. Here are some photos from the day, including some of the animals we saw and the activities we provided for the kids to complete while waiting!

🐈 Last chance to register your cat to receive a free health check 🐈

Did you know that nearly a million cats in the UK are not registered with a vet, and many more may not be receiving the care they need? According to a recent Cats Protection report 4 million cats may be missing out on essential health check-ups.

As veterinary professionals and cat lovers, we know how much you want the best for your feline friends. However, we understand that cost concerns and stress can make those visits challenging for both you and your cat, but we are here for you. This November and December we are offering a free health check to those who sign up their cat with us at the practice. We can help provide stress reducing tips for bringing in your cat and discuss our preventative health plan to help spread the cost of routine veterinary care.

🐾 Inspiring Future Animal Heroes! 🐾

Vet Clare and Veterinary Nurses Fallon and Jess recently had the pleasure of visiting Churchill Academy careers fair.

They spoke to students about what it is really like to care for animals every day and the exciting journey to becoming a veterinary professional. We shared our passion for everything from routine preventive healthcare to dealing with emergencies.
It was inspiring to see the curiosity and enthusiasm from the next generation of animal care heroes. Who knows? One of these students could be the future face of veterinary medicine! 🩺

Our colleagues at University of Bristol are looking to home these wonderful 6-week-old Hy-line white chicks. In a few months they will grow into excellent egg layers producing beautiful white eggs and they adore human interaction.

🐔Adoption requirements:
• Previous experience handling or caring for birds as backyard pets.
• A home with enough space for them to roam freely.
