Unfortunately we have had a deceased cat handed in by a member of the public. The wee one has been hit by a car. Found on the road heading up to the hospital.

No microchip was found. He looks like a chocolate point ragdoll type and was not neutered.

If you think this may be your cat please get in touch on 01324 570501.

UPDATE - Owner has been found! Thank you to all who shared the post!

FOUND - SKINFLATS area, Falkirk

We had a male neutered tabby and white cat brought in to us last night. It is believed he was involved in a road traffic accident and we are keen to find his owners asap. He is not microchipped.

He is currently in a stable condition but will need further investigations and treatment in the coming days.

Please contact us on 01786 445665 or via messenger if he is your cat.

We would also be very grateful for post shares as the majority of our client base is in the Stirlingshire and surrounding area. Someone missing a cat from Skinflats may not think to contact us. A wider reach will give the best chance of reuniting him with his owner. Thank you in advance ♥️

The season most dog owners dread is nearly here. Fireworks! 🎆🎇🎆

Unfortunately not just one night but can last for a few weeks before and sometimes after 😕
Does your pet require medication to help them through these nights? We get lots of requests for medication in the weeks nearing the 5th of November and sometimes, if your pet has not been seen recently by the vet, they may require an appointment first.

Help us make sure your pet is all ready for the fireworks and call to order any medication ASAP.

Have a look online for different things to get ready, like making a den, playing classical music etc. These things can help and you can start getting your pets prepared.

🔴 Update to emergency out of hours vet 🔴

From today our emergency vet cover has changed. For the past nine years Vets ER, based from Grahams Road, covered any emergencies for many local practices. Unfortunately, due to staff shortages they are now closed.

From 12pm today and all weekends our emergency out of hours will now be Vet 999, based from Broadleys in Stirling.

Our weekday cover, after we close at 6.30pm until we open at 8am, will now be shared between us and our friends at A+G vets in Bonnybridge.

We hope you never need to use our on call service but incase of emergency please contact the clinic on our normal number, 01324 570501, and the answering machine will let you know the emergency contact number.

**Owner has been found** thanks for sharing.

We have had a tabby and white/long haired female cat handed into us this morning, that has been hit by a car. Unfortunately she was found dead. No microchip. She was found in Steps Street/King Street.

If you think this may be your cat or you might have details of who might be her owner please contact us on 01324 570501.

Ollie is the lovable cat that spends his days greeting B&M customers in Stenhousemuir. Please do not feed him. You never know if a cat is on a special diet or how much an owner is feeding them. Rest assured he is well looked after and doesn’t need any treats.

Grooming update

Unfortunately due to guidelines and being part of a veterinary clinic we will not be grooming in January. If you have an appointment booked you will be contacted to rearrange this.
We hope to be able to groom in February but will keep everyone updated.
Thanks,

Pets Friends Veterinary Clinic
COVID-19 Statement. Updated 07/01/21

Due to the current situation with coronavirus, we are trying to reduce the level of clients that we have direct contact with. It is likely that we will need to postpone some non-urgent procedures/treatments depending in current guidelines. This may change at short notice. Currently we aim to honour existing bookings, but will be delaying some routine appointments for at least the rest of this month.

Only one person may attend the practice with your pet and we ask that if the waiting room is occupied, that you wait outside or in your car until the waiting room is free – please phone us to let us know that you have arrived. Try to limit close contact with other people in the waiting room, reception desk or consulting room as far as possible.

Please use the hand sanitiser provided at the reception desk. Please wear a mask when in the surgery unless you have an exemption card.

If you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in recent contact with someone showing symptoms, please don’t come to the practice, but phone us for advice if your pet needs attention.
If you have been advised to limit social contact to protect yourself from coronavirus and need help, medication or advice for you pet, please phone us and we’ll try to help.

If we encounter staffing problems due to Covid-19, we may have to further cut back our service to you temporarily. There is a distinct possibility that we may have to close for at least 14 days at short notice at some stage in the future and if this is the case we may be able to offer telephone advice. If we do have to close, currently we can only advise that you may have to contact other local practices to see if they can offer you help.

Please phone our usual number (01324 570501) for further information in the event that we are closed.
We thank you for your understanding. David and all at Pets Friends Vets

**REUNITED**

The owner of the dog has been in touch, he ran away from the Broomage at 10am this morning and is still missing.

His name is AJ, he's 14 years old and only moved to the area recently. He hasn't been chipped but is wearing a blue collar.

They are out searching just now but if anyone sees him in the Bogend road direction, behind the inches or near glenbervie golf course please let us know and we'll pass any details on to help them search.

Unfortunately he's not great with strangers so if you see him don't approach as he will run further away.
