Walks are usually in the Carnfunnock Country Park or Ballyboley Forest areas with some days at the beach. With owners permission walks are off lead when possible. Recall, sit, down and stay training will be given if needed using positive reinforcement which makes it more fun for the dogs. Walked with other dogs helps provide not only physical but mental stimulation which is very important for the dogs well being, happiness and longevity.

Feeding time for you, for your dog should be looked forward to and pleasant. No kids should not stick hands in a dog’s food. If kids are around, let the dog eat safely away from kids, in a safety zone behind a barrier if needed. Teach kids to respect the dog’s eating space. I don’t think the dog is allowed to put paws in the kids food, so why is it ok to allow a child to put hands in a dog’s meal?

Training our pups the basics sit, down, stand, loose lead walking, recall and more sets them up with good foundations which helps get through the more difficult adolescence stage and helps the elderly dog to keep their brain more active but training our dogs is something we should do for them throughout their lives and it all starts with focus. If you say your dogs name do they look at you?

After years of dealing with their dog’s problem behaviours, guardians will often reach the end of their tethers. They are desperate for a quick fix that will make their dog easier for them to live with, so they call in a professional for help.

Having a well mannered dog is a much more pleasurable way to walk, play and have a great time getting out and about together.
