We stand our own stallion Amadeus Normark who is available for public stud via AI, whilst also breeding top quality foals that are sometimes available for sale. Amadeus Normark our life graded and performance tested stallion
2008 Knabstrupperforeningen for Danmark Amadeus won his stud book Grading & took overall Best in Show, becoming the very first yearling ever to do so in any KNN Grading anywh
ere in the world.
2009 Amadeus started his ground work & proved himself an easy character to work with as a very gentle stallion in lunge & long reining (even in the school surrounded by mares & youngsters) generally he just enjoyed life as a 2yo!
2010 Amadeus scored the highest marks of all (UK) stallions entered & the overall Best in Show actually went to our (twin) foal with an overall score of 9.0, an exceptional mark for any foal let alone a twin!
2011 Backed & turned away Amadeus benifitted from simple "-time-" to grow, develop & mature. His natural talent, easy nature & considerable movement have made him a joy to play with!
2012 Amadeus is currently at Acquila Equestrian home of Lucy Wiegersma, in training with her own coach & progressing very well under saddle. The Wiegersma Team feel Amadeus is ready to begin his competitive career.
2013 Amadeus gained his life performance test with the Knabstrupper forenigen for Danmark coming first of all five stallions presented for his grading assessment. One week later Amadeus started his competition career with British Dressage in affiliated competitions. His first results were 1st place with 71.9 and 72%, three weeks later he did his first Novice open and again won both classes with scores of 74 and 76%. We will continue to update his competition regularly on this page. We are very proud of our boy. A little bit of History:
Spotted horses have been bred in Denmark since 1671 & the studbook has changed hands through the centuries. The Knabstruppper however, remains a highly intelligent, gentle & versatile performance breed & of course since we started breeding them in 2000 we are smitten with our striking spotted horses, but the focus for any breeder should always be "purpose for the job"...
The Knabstrupper is often overlooked as a sporting horse although it's more than capable of most disciplines. They are agile brained, physically adept for many disciplines & come in every colour possible, including spots ;)
