Don’t be a fool, keep them cool ☀️💙
With the ever-changing weather, it’s important to make sure your furry friend stays cool and hydrated. Just like you switch up your wardrobe for the sunny days, make sure to provide shade and plenty of water for your pup.

Don’t try and walk them in the midday heat, dogs have never died from missing a walk but have from heat stroke.
If you do still want to walk them, make sure it’s early or late in the day when it’s cooled off.
Also remember we have shoes to protect our feet, they don’t. The pavements can be very hot and cause burns.

Cool matts are great for them to lie on, and wet bandanas to keep them cool 💙☀️

Here are some ways to keep them entertained and cool at home.
☀️ Frozen enrichment matts
☀️ Snuffle / Sniffing toys
☀️ Frozen treats for extra hydration (natural yogurt, dog friendly fruit, bone broth, pumpkin purée etc)
☀️ Ice cubes in their water

Can't believe we are having to do another one of these posts this year 💔
We lost Sheldon last Friday. Sheldon was already fighting an illness but took a sudden turn for the worse and developed pneumonia and rushed to ICU where he didn't make it 💔
Shelly was certainly a character who always had a soft spot for Marianne and Robert - being one of the original daycare members! Our thoughts are of course with Sheldon's parents, we'll miss you shellybobs 🩶

Aggie is a Brittany Spaniel, a gun dog breed developed sometime in the 17th-19th century in Brittany, hence the name! Originally used for bird hunting which Agnus loves to do and you will often find her watching pigeons!

Our next puppy course starts on Sunday 12th November at 12.30pm and we still have a couple of spaces. Our courses are designed for youngsters to learn and practice real life skills using our secure fields at Weston under Wetherley and we provide trainer support between classes. All of the methods are positive and reward based and we have been running puppy classes for well over 10 years in the area so lots of experience! I love our puppy classes running outside now where we get to practice skills in a real field environment with lots of distraction. This is yesterdays clever bunch all showing off their skills on their final week. Lots of work from pups and humans resulting in happy pups listening to their owners and having fun #APDT #Wagntrain #positivetraining
