I’m trying as best as I can to help everyone who messaged me regarding pigeons,
Please bare in mind I don’t drive and transport volunteers are extremely limited so having to use public transport.

I been ran off my feet today going all over the place, I’m not meant taking loads on to ease the stress on me but it’s difficult to say no
I only say no if I physically cannot or do know anyone who covers the area.

If you do find a pigeon and you can’t transport please ask a friends/family/neighbours etc
I cannot keep running all over West Yorkshire
Having extremely ill pigeons in which need to be monitored.

Newest patients in-

Ferals:
-juvenile with starter stages of Trich (canker)
-Younger feral juvenile with advanced stages of Trich (canker)
-Older juvenile with head trauma and swelling
-older juvenile with old break to wing healed incorrectly
-Adult female with old wing break healed incorrectly
-Adult female with half her flight feathers pulled out
- young adult - Dog attacked.

Wood pigeon:
-juvenile which was attacked
-juvenile emaciated plus been Attacked.

Domestic pigeons:
-2 soon to 3 racing pigeons
-fantail which was attacked resulted in broken wing.

We cannot take in any Pigeons until Sunday night/Monday morning onwards
I think it’s heading more towards Monday.

Please bare with me I’m trying the best as I physically and mentally can, I have received some heartbreaking news yesterday so discussions are being made regarding the future of the rescue.

We aren’t in the Leeds area currently so we cannot take in any pigeons unfortunately until Monday 3rd June.

Only thing we can do is recommend other rescues/rehabbers for you or if one of our friends/volunteers can hold the pigeon etc for us.

I’m aware we don’t post much pictures besides asking for help all the time but here’s one of recovery stories our 1 and half wing wonder pige from Darlington.
Little poppet (not confirmed name) below was attacked by a cat.
Due to the sheer amount of damage to the area,the section was amputated to save the rest of the remaining wing as infection was lurking.

We aren’t accepting new birds until MONDAY LATE AFTERNOON
please be patient with us regarding messages they aren’t working as they should be

All rescues are struggling please bare that in mind
We are trying as best as we to help out
There’s not a lot of places in Leeds in
General so we will direct you places which are further afield
If nobody can help please do try to find a local wildlife friendly vets and use the link below 👇

Please if you do find an injured pigeon/bird please try to catch the wee things, we physically cannot travel all over Leeds or even West Yorkshire all the time because people aren’t willing to help them out.
Nor are we in Leeds all the time either.

We are struggling to find volunteers to even help come out or transport so please if you can try to help it would take pressure of us or even transport to places.

I cannot help with any birds within the Leeds area until Sunday- late afternoon but I can advise or recommend other places for you to go.

Unfortunately I’m aware it’s not the best either
I have to work around personal situations/building as now down a person so there only 1 admin trying to monitor the page as best as I can.
