Does anyone have any articles medical journals or similar that could give me more info about raised Creatinine Kinase in horses? It’s often raised during tying up or following races etc but as a general day to day elevated level in an all rounder. Bloods were taken at rest not during or after excercise. Or anyone who’s had personal experience with it? Thanks 🙏🏻🐎

Second introduction post is for the lovely Rosa (Red as Ruby’s)🤎🤍
Rosa is a 21yo 15hh Cob
Roo is our newest addition and came to the farm on full loan as a happy hacker for my boyfriend. She has taken quite a liking to Magic and they have a little romance going on..
She’s a brilliant little mare and full of character. She won’t hesitate to tell you how she feels but tries her heart out! She lives a fairly relaxed life plodding around behind Magic, and doing some schooling with me to get her relaxed and get some weight off (love her, chunky monkey😍)
She is an angel and we’re so excited for the rest of her adventure with us!

It’s only just occurred to me I haven’t introduced my own horses on this page!
I suppose we should start with the reason I get up and work everyday, my forever horse, sweet gorgeous Magic. (Or if we’re being fancy, Ebony Alchemist)
Magic is a 15.2 14yo Welsh Section D. I bought him earlier this year (8 months ago today!)
I was originally looking for a real plod, older chunky type gelding just to get some confidence back and hack around. I don’t think I’d have gone out my way to find a Welsh D , but I found Magic by chance and although he can certainly be spiritely and opinionated - I’m sure he is the safest horse in the world and I would put anyone on him. He has trained rather high previously and has been a bit of a dressage diva before now 🕺. Hopefully I can get him out and about soon as he has made my dreams come true and given me more than I could ever have asked.
I owe my world to this horse and more! 🖤

I am working through Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day this year. However I will be charging extra if you require me on these days - and my schedule will be tight. If you are not a regular client and you haven’t booked me in over these days yet - please do so at least a month in advance. Regular clients are pencilled in as normal for these dates.

All clients please note I am not working:
• 1st January - 8th January ‘24
• 31st March - 1st April ‘24
These dates are non negotiable. I’m happy to help you find cover if needed during this time.

For the next few weeks my lovely regular clients have me booked up 8am-9pm most days of the week. Between this I do have my own horse to care for & work. For this reason I advise that any one off services or cover needed is booked in at least 7 days in advance to avoid disappointment.
This gives me time to move other appointments where possible.

This does not apply to emergency cover, but I will be charging a small fee on top of my standard rate where less than 24 hrs notice is given.

I will help where I can, but I’m only human!
